Hey Sultan, you need to wake up and come to reality. By far, the followers of Islam are the most intolerant people in the world, its either convert or die or be tortured. Their way or no way at all.

Why can't gays live a happy life in Saudi Arabia? Why is it that gays live in constant fear that if they are caught they may face execution? Now you are giving pathetic excuses over these radical muslims trying to change laws in Europe so they could satisfy their radical muslim teachings.

So anyone who criticizes Islam is a bigot now?

Imagine if in a majority Christian or any other majority non-muslim country, gays and others were routinely arrested, tortured and executed, what would the outcry be. But since its the followers of Islam doing it, lets ignore it and move on.

Quran tells us being gay is wrong and anyone that is gay is exectued. Since the Quran is the word of God, what can we lowly mortals do other than obey? Are you suggesting I should not follow the word of God and go to hell?!? :Q
Cross your fingers that you picked the right god. Because if god turns out to be gay or bisexual, hell may very well be the least of your worries.

Theres no right god, theres one god, so I'm happy :). thanks for your concern though, really appreciate it.

Honestly, does the Quaran tell you and the court systems to execute the gay or that he/she is dead in the eyes of God and will not be accepted into his family/

The fanatacism here is scary.

Glad you enjoyed it :D.

My point still stands, if the Quran tells a true Muslim to do something, they will do it to their best, should they listen to some lowly human or listen to what they believe is the word of God?

Please lets not turn this into whether God exists or not thread, leave that for OT forum....do they even allow it?

There is some horribly disgusting and barbaric nasty sh1t in The Holy Bible .. thankfully someone created The New Testament or we would all be really f'ed up if people still followed everything in The Bible.

There are and have been many, many gods in this world, all invented by man. If a god actually exists, only one of them can be the right one. As Mark Knopfler said in a song: "Two men claim they're Jesus. One of them must be wrong."

But if you want to live in denial of all else around you and the history of the world to rely on your religious indictrination, whatever.

It doesn't really matter, but you should acknowledge your barbarism and discrimination if God tells you to do it.

Man, that brainwashing law is really working wonders.

How is it not discriminatory?

I don't think that you'll even answer that question as you've repeatedly avoided it.

You've clearly shown the answer to be "yes."

Apparently you are also completely intolerant of anything that doesn't subscribe to the tenets of Islam. It's why I don't agree with you and it's another "trend" of Islam I don't agree with either. That intolerance is going to come to a head eventually and there will be a major showdown in the future, if it already hasn't begun thanks to the actions of your pal, Osama bin Laden. It's unfortunate and ironic that the "religion of peace" will end up doing little more than bringing mass bloodshed to this world. Unfortunately, religions have a penchant for doing that.

It is sad that you dont get the complete idea.

First, the post was not meant as an answer to anyone's question.

Second, you didnt ask the above question and there's a difference between being critical about the religion and insulting the religion. There's a MARKED difference. You and the handful of other nutjobs posting in this thread are doing the latter, and its an observed trend that you all continue this in every thread relating to Islam and Muslims. I answer the criticisms levelled, and though some of your opinions might not accept the answer, I am not going to apologize for you having your biased opinions.

Third, there's no need for me to be intolerant about anything that does not subscribe to the tenets of Islam. I will follow the tenets of Islam to the best of my abilities, but I do not force you to accept my way is the right way. You are free to choose whichever way you want to.

Homosexuality is an unnatural act. That is taught in all the Abrahamic religions. Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed by God. If you want to call God a racist and a discriminatory person, that is your choice. Current man-made laws also subscribe to preventing homosexuality. Homosexual marriages are NOT allowed in the United States.

Adultery is a major crime by religion, and even by man-made laws. A person committing adultery is bound to lose significantly in terms of monetary wealth by the US man-made laws. The offense is seen at quite a much bigger scale by Islamic law, and if proven with the eyewitness testimony of 4 adults, is punishable by death. Since the crime carries capital punishment, the bar for proving it in court is kept impossibly high. Hence such a punishment is hardly, if ever, carried out. The punishment is prescribed more to exemplify how disliked this act is.

Non-Muslims in an Islamic state have certain rights that Muslims do not. Similarly, Muslims have rights that non-Muslims do not, in the same way man-made laws in the US differentiate between citizens and non-citizens. Non-citizens cannot be part of the US army, nor have they the right to vote. Islam prescribes equal but different set of rights for Muslims and non-Muslims in an Islamic state so that Islam is not forcibly imposed on them. EQUAL BUT DIFFERENT.

There are NO laws in Islam supportive of paedophilia. This is a charge levelled many times based on the Prophet (S.A) marriage to Hazrat Aisha (R.A). Marriage is between two consenting adults, and while man-made laws subscribe to a certain age to signify an adult, there is no such generalized prescription in Islam. A person is allowed to enter into marriage if he/she is post-puberty and metally mature to understand marriage. There is no test to determine if a male or a female is mentally mature.

Yes, your sky daddy would be discriminating against homosexuals by the very definition. In addition, man-made laws that are discriminating against homosexuals such as in the US are wrong and barbaric.

How humane - death. The death penalty is a barbaric act.

'equal but different' is not equal. And Islamic Law is in no way 'equal' to non-people of the book. In addition, discrimination through religion is not the same as citizens and non-citizens. What next, discriminating against race is fine now?

No, strict Islamic Law discriminates heavily and more extreme against non-Muslims and non-People of the Book and homosexuals. This is a barbaric act that only racists and bigots would support.

In addition, it is essentially a slave system, holding people to their religion and takes them to death if they decide to leave.

I don't think that anyone has really said that Islamic Law supports pedophilia - just that some members of this forum have supported certain instances of a 9 year old child having sex with an old man in today's time. These people are sick and it's not a surprise that these very same people are racists and bigots.

Strict Islamic Law may have made sense when people were rolling around in the mud, but in today's time it results in brainless sheep that are racists, bigots, and backwards.

Its fair and just, it is not barbaric.

Such as? I can't think if anything other than S.A only allowing Muslims in, in that case I fully approve because they wanna stop the western influence. It is not barbaric :), we are not racists and bigots but thanks for name calling.

Naw it is not a slave system, traitors get punished, enough said, fair and just, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Naw, every aspect of it applies to today and allows you to live a better life, anyone who studied Islam and not made their opinion off of what they see on TV would agree to this.

No, being a racist and bigot leads to a horrible life in today's times. In addition, this lack of free thought and will is probably a strong reason why many Islamic countries are horrible in terms of conditions for the average person.

This is YOUR opinion, not fact. Some 4 billion people in the world adhere to an Abrahamic faith. Their FACT is homosexuality is wrong.

Islamic Law does not discriminate against non-Muslims. Equal but different is NOT equal to discrimination. Your just saying it is different is not a fact, it is an OPINION.

A mature person of whatever age can consent to marriage. Period

No, being a racist and bigot leads to a horrible life in today's times. In addition, this lack of free thought and will is probably a strong reason why many Islamic countries are horrible in terms of conditions for the average person.

''
Again, you can argue that being homosexual is wrong. However, you cannot argue that you are being discriminatory against homosexuals'

It is the will of God, not my fault.

''Yeah, murdering people and bashing their heads in with rocks is fair and just. ''

Yup.

''
You are discriminating against non-Muslims and non-people of the book to different degrees. It is indisputable. You are discriminating based on religion.''

I'm asking, such as? (Other than the S.A example I said)

''No, being a racist and bigot leads to a horrible life in today's times. In addition, this lack of free thought and will is probably a strong reason why many Islamic countries are horrible in terms of conditions for the average person''

We are not bigots and racists and being a Muslim has made my life a lot better.

Thanks for name calling though.

Your brainwashed mind has made my point skip right over you. It is FACT that you are discriminating against homosexuals. You can only dispute that discriminating against homosexuals is right.

Islamic Law does not discriminate against non-Muslims. Equal but different is NOT equal to discrimination. Your just saying it is different is not a fact, it is an OPINION.

No, it is FACT that Islam does not treat Muslims, non-Muslims, or non-People of the Book equally. The simple marriage laws show this. This is indisputable FACT.

In addition, please provide FACTUAL EVIDENCE that 'equal but different is equal'.

A mature person of whatever age can consent to marriage. Period

Yup, as I said, some people here support pedophilia in today's time.

How convenient. It doesn't matter because in the end you are discriminating against homosexuals. That's what I've been saying. However, you can argue that this is fine.

Yup.

You have a lot of desire for bloodthrist.

Marriage Laws, taxes, and so forth.

If you support bigot beliefs then you're a bigot. It's not really name-calling, just stating facts.

I get the idea just fine. You would stone adulterers and execute gays and you have the gall to call anyone else a nutjob? Thanks for displaying more of your intolerance.

Changing the direction of this thread slightly.....

Sultan what is your opininon on this....Text

Once you get past the sensationalism in the article, there are two interesting points made.

...I mentioned in this space the Florentine Boar, a famous piece of porcine statuary in Derby that the council had decided not to have repaired on the grounds that it would offend Muslims.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Tory-controlled) has now announced that, following a complaint by a Muslim employee, all work pictures and knick-knacks of novelty pigs and "pig-related items" will be banned. Among the verboten items is one employee's box of tissues, because it features a representation of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet.

I suspect that there would be nothing in the Quran that would support this. Indeed as noted by the authour

A couple of years ago, when an anxious-to-please head teacher in Batley was banning offensive "pig-centred books", Inayat Bunglawala of the Muslim Council of Britain commented that "there is absolutely no scriptural authority for this view. It is a misunderstanding of the Koranic instruction that Muslims may not eat pork."

Sultan, is there anything that would support the contention that Pig shaped items are offensive to Muslims?

I understand the restriction of eating pork, no problems. Pork needs to be cooked properly otherwise you run the risk of salmonella, so it would have been prudent for a non-technical society to ban its consumption as an effective form of disease prevention.

EDIT: spelling

lol "the turk" posting on such matters. you should know eh? your genocide of the armenians(which the turks have yet to answer for or admit responsbility for) was the inspiration for hitlers holocaust. and frankly it isn't false. for every example you give there are many others of muslims commiting oh so many other crimes against humanity. sudan for instance. and anyways, saying "we all do it man" doesn't make a defective ideology any more valid. the ugly reality is intolerance in the muslim world is wide spread, whether its against other religions, or women, or gays or whatever. and don't cheapen the term ethnic clensing by using it with the palestinians who are basically upset that they didn't succeed in their attempt at genocide. http://www.islamreview.com/articles/islamicintolerance.shtml
