Videotron cable here... cap went from 100gig to 120gig and speeds are 30mb down and 2mb up! I'm happy!
And don't forget to delete your system32 folder, it wastes tons of bandwidth. I deleted mine and my bandwidth usage went down from 80gb to 50.
This is why communities should look into municipal city/town/state owned fiber as a solution to break the monopoly. Cable internet is a natural monopoly.
Upload is less than 1kb, but download is often around 15kb/s. Playing a standard 20 hour day of h4x0rcraft consumes 1.03gb
(15kb/s * 3600 s/h * 20 hours / 1024 / 1024 = 1.03)
Correct me if I'm wrong but the US government already has the capability to do so. All they have to do is request the ISP to do so through a court order.I would think most people would oppose having the government be able to monitor their internet use so easily.
