I don't know... The Shrek movies are definitely the funniest of the bunch, but The Incredibles has a great story, superb animation, and a solid amount of humor. It's pretty rare for a movie to have all of that, but somehow Pixar manages to do it with every movie.
Pixar doesn't write the movies.

Huh? I have no idea WTF you're talking about... Incredibles was written and directed by Brad Bird, who now works for Pixar. I thought Incredibles was awesome, way better than the Shrek movies. The animation was superb, the story was good, and the overall style was very cool. I love how it was obviously heavily influenced by the early Bond films, IMO that really made the soundtrack and set designs work very well.

Shark Tale? Please. That pile of crap doesn't belong in the same class as Pixar.

Dave
My apologies. I assumed it was written by Disney like most of the past movies that Disney and Pixar worked on together, but apparently it was only produced by Disney.

I concur!

Did you notice in the credits that they had a whole entire group of people working on hair and cloth rendering alone!? Paid off though.

I may be wrong, and I will go check around now, but I am pretty sure that Pixar wrote all of their movies internally, or at least independently of Disney. Disney soley provides capital and distribution for Pixar films, two things Pixar no longer needs. Hence the split-up of the two companies coming soon.

EDIT: Here are the writers for Pixar's films thus far: John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Peter Docter, Jill Culton, and Brad Bird. All of them were Pixar employees before and after their scripts were written.

I think the movie was great but they didn't do Jack Jack any justice. They need more of him in the film, not just that end part with Syndro and the 4 minute short in the special features. He is cool

I dunno, I didn't really like Jack Jack. I don't think he could've served any other purpose than a small plot point at the end of the movie. No character-development really. I think the cute little feature with him and the babysitter was sufficient.

But maybe there'll be a sequel.

I thought it was excellent.

Oh, and be careful if your sub doesn't have a low pass filter ;)

Waterfall Charts towards the bottom of this page :Q

The amount of stuff below 20 hz is........ incredible.
how am i supposed to read that

Time is the verticle scale - lower = sooner

Hz is the horizontal scale
80hz = THX standard for speaker/sub crossover point
~30hz = low end drop off point for most high end computer speaker systems (Logitech, Klipsch, etc)
20hz = ~lowest sound audible to humans
below 20hz = "felt" rather than heard (although you can feel sounds above 20 also) pants legs with flap, hair will move, fun will be had
15hz = low end drop off point for my PB-10 ISD with room gain (built in filter below 20 to prevent damage)
10hz and below = very bad news for subs without filters as they will tend to bottom out hitting the excursion limits of the driver and self destruct

Color is intensity of the sound as shown in the color coded box (on the dB scale)

Man, if I didn't look at the cast list, I swore Mrs. Incredible was played by Asia Carrera.

I watched it last night and loved it.

I recognized Holly Hunter's voice immediately along with Samual L Jackson.

BTW, She was born in Conyers, GA... just outside Atlanta.

Her most memorable movie for me was "The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom." Absolutely hilarious and spooky at the same time.

Wonderful family movie.
I just took my daughter to see The Pacifier last night. The ratings at rottentomatoes were horrid (18/100), but we enjoyed it. My thirteen year old daughter saw it with her friend last week and they enjoyed it, too.

At first I thought it was the chick from King of Queens and those motor oil commercials. But then after she had more spoken lines I realized it was the chick from Raising Arizona.

Best part of the whole movie was the short that came before it: "Boundin'" or something to that effect. Tops "The Birds" from shrek by a mile. Sure, the movie itself was pretty good, but anytime you throw a Jackalope that uses words like heliotrope in with a naked dancing sheep, an owl, a rattle snake, and some gophers, you end up with pure comedic gold!

In the mean time, you should download Windows Media Player Classic if you don't already have it. You'll need it so you can shift the audio track of the video, because the DVD rip didn't synch the audio correctly.
