America just got a shred of her dignity back!

Well World War 3 didn't happen. It's the war I was expecting and sort of hoping for in a post I made here over 4 years ago a few days before the election in 2016.
Here's me saying that back then -

Maybe he can still start it from Florida.

So glad to see everything went without a hitch today as I was really afraid something was going to happen.

And I'm really looking forward to having a good night sleep tonight, I feel like I can finally sleep at peace after last four years. I know that we have many problems still, but it's nice to know there is finally adult in the White House.

bets on Trump trying to hold a press conference tomorrow morning to talk about Biden's inauguration crowd size?

Trump still has the cleaning staff at Mara-Lago. He could set up his tiny POTUS desk and give rambling briefings every morning to the cleaning staff. :( Feeling sorry for the cleaning staff....

I knew nothing would happen.

Let's be real. Trump is the biggest coward on the planet, and so are most of his followers. They all talk a big game but that is about it.

I can't help myself but I'm simply not into kicking someone when they're down. As bad as Donald Trump was, is, and probably will be in the future I just as soon forget all about him. I don't want reminded by another impeachment or anything that would put his mug shot back in the news. Trump was America's nightmare and he's now gone, so lets just let it go. As for Mike Pence, I think there is still hope for Mike. Two thumbs up I must give to Mike.... one, for when Mike Pence turned and shook the hand of Nancy Pelosi at the last state of the union address where Trump simply snubbed Nancy and refused to shake her hand of even achnologe her. I know that Trump had just been impeached but that was shitty of Trump to act like a little child. And second, Mike attended the inauguration. At least Mike Pence knows what it is to act presidential. I feel sorry for Mike Pence, I think Mike got caught up into something that he was not at all prepared for when Mike took on the office of VP. Sadly.... a lot of good people got caught up into something they were not prepared for. Call it selling your soul or dancing with the devil. I guess this is the power of a cult.

If only the unity the Dems had shown the nation during this past campaign season will last throughout Biden's term and will stay the course into the midterms in order to strengthen its tenuous hold on the reins of gov't.

I wish the Biden/Kamala admin's all the best and that they stay a few steps ahead of the Repub's efforts toward denying him and the nation's middle class and the poor a chance to correct the egregious imbalance of taxation and income distribution due to the Trumps, McConnell and their Repub lackeys deployment of their draconian Reaganomic class warfare campaign against the working class stiffs of the nation.

Probably. I don't know. I honestly try to ignore most of his bullshit. I use the term "friend" lightly.

He's gone off the deep end, and I don't think he's ever coming back.

Regardless, expect some crazy shit around 12 p.m.
I have heard of ZERO "crazy shit" happening since 11AM EST today, been watching TV network news. ZERO. A few protestors on both sides in D.C., a bit of yelling back and forth (they didn't show it, just said it happened), that's it. All capitols quiet. IOW, nada.

Will the 25,000 or so Guardsmembers get a campaign ribbon? Well, except for those 12 'special', hopefully soon to be ex- members.

Speaking of the inauguration itself, I thought it well done and professional. Biden sounded competent, decisive, sincere, and modest. I personally like Biden as a man. He has encountered more loss personally than most of us, and he doesnt get super emotional. I have personal differences in his political points of view, but the inauguration was great. Kudos to Pence for showing up and being a man about it.

And Lady Gaga was AMAZING.
