Dropped my mail in ballot off at the county offices a week ago. There was a line of 2 cars in front of me, which took about 30 seconds. I love voting in Oregon. Although it does have its issues. My wife's signature always gets rejected because she can't remember what her official signature looks like, so she has to go in most years to verify her ballot.

does she not have DL with her to use as an example? I believe that is the signature that each state uses as your official one (most states, anyway)

Don't mean to be critical but local Republicans are responsible for all the voter suppression across the country

yes, he's basically voting in a way that helps the GOP capture NY and gerrymander it into some dystopian reality where NY suddenly becomes reliably red. This helps exactly no one.

Democrats Suck and Republicans Suck. This is a National Emergency . Returned ballot in September to County Elections office took under 10 minutes. Voted strait Dem.

Dropped off my mail-in ballot a couple of weeks ago. Straight Democrat, but that isn't a big deal in MA.

Good point. In Oregon, it isn't necessarily the same, but most people register through the DMV, in which case it is. It hasn't ever prevented her from voting, as they give you 14 days to fix it, just a bit of a hassle. Still way better than waiting in line for hours.

I envy those that have a choice. Where I live in northern Alabama, most of the local offices in the current election are running unopposed (R). Dems didn't even put anyone up against Mo Brooks for the House seat.

Haven't voted yet (meetings). Will be headed out mid-afternoon to do my part.

Mine gets kicked back every election because it doesn't match my driver's license signature. :confused_old: I then have to verify who I am...
As I get older, my signature has...devolved into a lazy scrawl.
I MUST try to care more.

My state (Washington) is vote by mail ONLY. There are drop boxes scattered around every county. We'll be taking our ballots to the ounty election office in person today...just because we can.

In my state that hasn't been an issue. Cuomo is a corrupt authoritarian with no moral center so if I can throw a few obstacles in his path without doing real damage I will.

Small town in Eastern-ish MA. Walked right in about 10:30 AM. No line at check-in desk. 3 other people in the "booths". Easiest ballot I've seen in a while. Other than presidential, 4 state/local offices, 3 of those were unopposed, and only 2 ballot questions.

Was a bit worried about a line as I went by a polling place for the next town on my way to an appointment at 8:15 and there the line was out the school doors and across the parking lot. (my back has been playing up and standing on pavement is the last thing I need)

Voted with my wife and daughter last week in Delray beach FLA. We had issues here with voting precincts not being open on time due to equipment not delivered and pollsters not showing up. This was the case across all of Palm county. We were able to vote with no delays or bullshit. We waited apporx. 45 minutes. at the Delray Beach community center.

Ridiculous hearing all the rural voters talking about 5-10 minute waits while people in cities get screwed with long waits meant to depress our turnout. There were solid 2 hour lines every day of the first week of early voting at my closest polling spot for instance.
Yep. It's easier for them to vote AND their vote carries more weight... seems fair...

As to the original topic. In MN I requested a mail in for primary and Nov 3 ballot months ago. Ballots are sent out 6 weeks early. I brought the completed ballot back to a blue post box the same day. MN site states my vote has been counted.

4 minutes from the time I got in line to the time I walked out the door with my sticker. Democratic candidates in all 4 races so I could not write in your dog this time Hay.

I did one write-in this year, a new low as all but one race was contested.

My wife and I voted in the comfort of our home, with plenty of time to research and discuss each candidate and issue. I then took a short drive to an official drive-up ballot box and dropped them off.
That's what voting in Oregon is like.

My wife voted by mail this year as there is one poll worker who pisses her off by questioning IDs of people who don't look like the poll worker (que Simpsons color chart). Last election, the poll worker questioned the ID of an active duty Air Force dude who came to the polls in uniform. People in line didn't care for that crap and let the worker know how they felt about it. I was out of town for work for most of the vote-by-mail period so I didn't try to get a ballot. I like voting in person anyway.

Voted two weeks ago as soon as the early voting lines became manageable in my area. Was about a 20 minute wait vs the 15 minutes I spent in line the first day of early voting in 2016. Voted only for Democrats.

Any signs of voter intimidation or obstruction? I have not seen any which is encouraging.

I waited about 30 minutes in line to vote today. I protest voted for the Libertarian presidential candidate again this year, just like I did in 2016.

(And you guys still think that I'm a Trump supporter. Nope.)

Besides, Joe Biden doesn't need my help here in Connecticut any more than Hillary Clinton did in 2016. She won the popular vote in Connecticut by more than 10%, as will Biden.

Did mail-in in Florida. Orange County allows you drop them off at the polling site when early voting starts. We (the wife and I) drove up to the box, they checked the ballots to make sure we signed them and watched her put them in the box. We checked a few days later and it said accepted and will be counted. It says it has been counted. Hope we help bring home Florida for Biden. Voted no on all the judges here, as they are all Federalist freaks. All others were blue. Wearing total blue today, too!

I'm pretty sure Florida is gonna go to Trump unfortunately.
