My ex-managing director was like that. He liked shouting at the female employees and then watching them sob uncontrollably. And he loved beautiful women. I guess watching a beautiful woman mess up her face was his kink or something.
 
Mobile table saw table saw some action today after I put it together. Lines up with the big outfeed/general use table, but it can be removed when I'm not using it. Got some threaded inserts so I can have mounting points for my drill press and vices, but remove them when I need the space.

Other than putting together the big shelves I bought and getting everything cleaned up, I think I have all the furniture I need in the garage done.

Tried making methyl salicylate (wintergreen oil) from salicylic acid and methanol. I made some, but it's super water sensitive and I think my sulfuric acid was just too impure. When there's too much water, the reaction goes back the other way, so I ended up with a bunch of super-fine salicylic acid powder. I do have some oil, I can smell it, but not much. These two shots are from just after the reaction and then when I was washing the product out. Looks neat and was still fun if nothing else.

It's impurities in one of the reagents. I should have let it run longer and used a different solvent - the mix of solvent plus the product gave it a density that pushed it just above water. The pink should be at the top. Live and learn.
 
So my wife is doing the flowers for our nephews wedding and she made a flower crown for the flower girl and needed some one to fit it........guess who volunteered....

She made this out of florist wire, florist tape, and wrapped it in felt. I look and feal really pretty right now. The flowers will be attached to the felt

LPT:

1. Staple berber carpet to the top. EXCELLENT low-skid work surface! And get some bench cookies! I also have heavy-duty locking caster wheels with height-adjustment on the bottom of mine for easy relocation.

2. Get a thin sheet of something like Thrifty White Panel Board to put on top for when you need a flat surface

3. Attach a roll of newsprint (36" or 48" width) to the end so you can pull out a disposable paper surface for messy projects!

For the walls:

1. Get some wall-mount bun racks

2. These fit 18 x 26" full-size bun sheets

3. These are great for storing WIP projects (you can work on it on the bench & then lift the rack to store, great for drying glues, paints, etc.), as well as for storing tools of various sizes. Instant-access clear-view toolbox, haha!

Wanted a way to move brush on my off grid property as doing it by hand was futile, I did one pile and then looking at the pile that was like 10x as big I had to figure something better. Could rent an excavator but that would cost like a grand when all is said and done. So I bought a trailer kit for about a grand, which is just the frame and lighting and it has a VIN # and all, so I put that together, which was a pain, and built the wood floor. The wood portion was actually the easiest TBH. If I was to do it over again I would just have built from scratch or bought something fully assembled.

Still need to decide what to do for a tail gate and also need to decide where to add the tie down points but for using it in the bush on my property it will work fine as is. The tie down and tailgate will be for if I use it in town with the truck. It will come in handy for fire wood, as I can fill the back of the truck and the trailer too when getting a load from somewhere. I can probably haul about 2 face cords between this trailer and the truck.
