Yeah, as I get older the heat really gets to me. When I was a kid in Louisiana, I played outside all day in brutal heat. Now if I exert myself in the sun, the stomach starts getting unhappy.

I can't stand working in the heat either. It's not that I get sick or anything, it's just the sweating and stickiness and just overall being miserable part that makes it suck. Can't imagine doing it as a job where you have to wear long pants or even long sleeves, that would really suck.

It's the reason why I couldn't get into sports even though I loved stretching my body to its limits. The sweat would drench me in minutes.

HA HA. I have a serious fear of water bodies. Besides, it's too late for me to learn swimming now. What would be the point? What frickin' world records am I going to be able to beat at age 44?

Ice and snow is the best time for heavy work! As long as it isn't windy, 20s are a great temp for treework. The work keeps you warm, and the frozen ground makes everything easier. For surveying at < max output, 40° is probably ideal. Cool, but not cold, and I can wear gloves without being too hot. I love gloves. My hands take a beating, and I like the armor.

Because I believed I could when I was younger. Couldn't pursue anything seriously because of my dad's death grip on me. He only allowed me to do things he thought were good for me and sports wasn't one of them.

It's the heat. Been happening the last couple years. The fetid MD summers have been getting to me. The filthy stink of the south, and it's only getting worse, cause of course it is. Anthropogenic change couldn't make things cooler. That just wouldn't be shitty, and we can't have things unless they're shitty...

Most likely culprit. Had that one happen before! But my unit is 15-20 years old, so every time something *does* happen, I am left wondering if today is the day it truly dies.

Changing cap is an easy and cheap fix. If it doesn't solve it, you are only 30 dollar more into the hole.

Lenovo Yoga 7. I've grown tired of having to remote into my server from my desktop, and other light compute tasks. I'm super impressed with this thing so far. The OLED screen is CRISP. Super snappy, minimal bloatware from Lenovo that was removed with SPEED. I'll likely being entering job hunt mode at some point next year, so being able to remotely mess with my resume and apply for roles will be great.

My knees are junk, so if it's slippery, like snow, I'm out. Plus, cold air hurts my lungs!

Broke my streak of not ordering from Amazon. Need a magnet so I can fish out nails and screws from camp fire and added fittings I'll need eventually anyway, to get free shipping. That magnet may be overkill but I will be putting it inside an ABS pipe with a pull stick, idea is for the nails and such to stick to the ABS and not direct to the magnet, then I pull the rod and they fall out. At least in theory I think it will work, will see in practice when I set it up. I was going to do a big electromagnet but this seems easier and requires no power.
