40 x 36 pole building with a 36x10 greenhouse on the south side. had to bring one corner up about 28 inches. 140 tons ish of structural fill should do it. still trying to get them to give me a build date though.

Total impulse ebay purchase for around $100 shipped. HP Signal generator. Did not even get a chance to play around with it yet as it came in as I was leaving for my first night shift.

I want to design a lot of my own power electronics for solar etc so this will help me test different frequencies and see how they behave with different size inductor, capacitors etc... Always nice to have one of these handy.

Lately it seems we're going towards not requiring masks anymore. In preparation for this disturbing turn of events, I bought a Braun 9930s electric shaver, though a bit pricey (~CDN$200+tax on sale), quite an improvement over my old Philips, even after accounting for new vs old. Okay, I'm hyperventilating here. It turns out our quarry is worth a part of Ten Billions of 1910 Dollars! Yes, our little quarry, along with a couple small marble quarries, were the subject of this ad seeking investors. I'm not claiming that the fine gentlemen making this astonishing offer might be overstating the opportunity but I do insist that said quarry occupies about a quarter acre My best estimate is that the quarry produced about a thousand cubic yards of granite with a then current value of about $80,000, while not shabby at all in those days, falls a bit short of the professed riches. I also note that investors embracing this opportunity at no time would become owners of said quarries as those remained with the men offering the opportunity.

Bought nothing in the last week or so besides food and day to day items.

Trying to keep it that way for a while. I kind of really don't need anything, it would just be wasteful consumerism.

Just want to focus on buying things like tickets for concerts, shows, museums, drinks, eating out. That's it.

Have acquired virtually all the camping gear I need for this summer to replace the stuff that was damaged during Ida or that is just old.

Actually sold a Gregory backpacking backpack today. Thanks Craigslist. Got to put up a big Agnes Jack rabbit SL2 tent for sale as well.

Just bought a hot air station so I can attempt to reflow my Xbox 360's GPU. Have some BGA nozzles coming today, and I still need to pick out a decent preheater.

Hopefully it all works out; if not, I'll try my hand at reballing the GPU, and then replacing it with a new one as a last resort.

I would have just bought a Series S, but then all my disc-based games become useless, plus I'll most likely end up jailbreaking the 360 (yeah, I'm a bit late to the party) - the One and Series S/X aren't there yet, so repairing it seems like the logical choice for now.

They're for my wife, but she did not wear the anklet, almost too big for that. We are huge sneaker heads though.

Went to Vegas for work, and wife came out the last few days. Visited a Christian Louboutin store in the Wynn hotel, bought a few things. Purse and high heels for her, two low sneakers for me.

Just bought more silver lol. 10oz bar. My coins that I ordered previously did not even come in yet. Keep the orders coming, this is the way.

Kind of a new way of thinking. Basically get out of fake assets that are just numbers on a computer that you could be locked out of at a moment's notice, and put it into physical that you can hold. Also took out 1k cash to have stashed.

Just transferred $1,500 from my TFSA that I been building up for the past few years to my credit line, way I see it, I just converted my savings to silver. I was saving that in case I end up having to pay taxes but I'm getting a $1,600 refund so I'm good to use that money. I think I'll just put that on the credit line but it is tempting to buy more silver with it.

Hah, I meant the anklet is too big to really wear. Unless maybe a 1000lb sister.

She just got a second pair, grey and white, no anklet came with it. Otherwise identical.

I have recently started collecting playing card decks. I only have a few, 22 decks, and i really only focus on ones where i really like the design. my most recent decks i got last week are a couple of cool bicycle decks, and a kickstarted deck with WoW themes from an artist whose work i really enjoy.


im kind of conflicted about opening them or not. one the one hand, they probably wont ever really be worth a lot and mostly i just like the art work. on the other hand, is all the dirt and grubby..well.. hands touching the cards and messing them up.
i have seen on some card collecting forums/subreddits they just buy two packs, one for opening and using and one for saving. i guess for the cheaper bicycle type brands, that would work. but some of the kickstarted decks are kind of expensive for just one. so im still wavering on what to do there. anyway, blathering over.

Open them. No sense in owning something without being able to enjoy it. You're gonna die one day and those cards will eventually turn to dust.
