Unless you really care about looks.. don't need to paint it or shingle it.. just put a couple of layers of poly on it and it should become water proof.

Ended up buying a sheet of corrugated plastic, similar to what they use for election signs, was just looking around Home Depot for ideas when I found that. Kinda expensive at $60 a sheet though but one sheet is 4x8 so it will be enough.

Just finished doing 2nd coat of paint on the sides and bottom then after that I will be ready to do the top. Tomorrow I'm going to the property with a friend and hopefully we can get it in the truck and I will bring it there. It's quite heavy, probably should have built it in modules then fit them together on site.

This is a pic before I added the chains to stop it from opening too far back. Caulk for scale. It's sitting upside down right now and paint is drying.

We used to have old railroad ties as earthwork retainers. We just soaked those puppies in used engine oil to preserve them. It's a very messy way to go but it does work. And of course the DEP won't love that approach especially if people in the area use ground water wells.

It does not. It supports 1080i. There's some hope Tablo will at some point support ATSC 3.0. I don't know what's anticipated, a new device or maybe a firmware enhancement? A module?

Just bought a Graco Powershot Ultimate airless sprayer

The trim and doors in the house are yellowing after 17 years and need to be repainted. So we bought this portable airless paint sprayer. Uses the same FFLP tips as the big boys and is battery powered.

Hope it works. Wasn’t cheap.

I'm impressed. Spraying trim and doors in a finished house is a very big job. In almost 50 years in remodeling I've never attempted it.
That sprayer will do the job, though you might want to pick up a second battery. You don't want to have to stop half way through spraying a door to charge it.

Oof that's pricey indeed. Are you in construction or a painter yourself? Seems like a huge expense to just do your doors and trims, unless you have more projects planned. Not knocking you at all, I just wouldn't drop that much on a few doors lol

Looks like I bought a 3d printer off of marketplace. At one point a year or so back I decided I needed one, now I don't remember why.

Comes with 2 Dewalt 2AH batteries and charger. Supposedly each battery can do over 1 gallon.

The doors I’ll take off and we’ll spray in the garage a couple at a time when we have a free weekend. Also have an in built entertainment center and some cabinets that need to be repainted.

Just repainted our bedroom and the trim we’ve been doing by hand. Mostly my wife doing the painting. I replaced the base boards, with new primed boards, sanded and patched them then she paints. She’s good enough with a brush that she doesn’t need to tape when doing baseboards, crown molding or walls. We also stick to water based laytex paints so cleanup isn’t too bad.

There’s a lot of wood in the house that needs to be repainted and while we (mostly my wife) is good with a brush and roller they look better sprayed.

As long as we are both working we’ve got more money than time and hiring somebody to do this work would lcost a similar amount to the gun.

Plus we want to remodel our utility room and add some under stair storage. All that requires more woodworking and painting.

I’ve been getting into woodworking as a hobby so getting a decent sprayer that doesn’t take up to much room seems like not the worst idea.

That makes a lot more sense. Spraying interior trim in a whole house would be an astonishing amount of masking and covering.
Do yourself and your wife a favor and use Sherwin Williams Emerald for the trim. It's expensive but it lays down like glass right out of the can and wears like iron. I painted the top of our coffee bar with it and after two years of daily use it still looks like new.

We’ve used it on some cabinets but she likes pro classic high gloss enamel for baseboards.

I’ll add that the sprayer was on sale and had a deal for 3 free sprayer tips. I specifically picked sizes that should be good for both the Proclassic enamel and the Emerald. I figure those will be the two we’re most likely to be using.
