what is the point of 1 mile illumination when you cannot see that far? Other than blinding people and getting away with it that is.

Brief photographic update on my grow-tent project. :)

All three are "femanized-autoflower" hybrids grown from seed.

Left plant is "White Widow" and the other two are classic "Girl Scout Cookies" @ 18 days since sprouting/germination. (center plant isn't doing all that well unfortunately)

:)

Audeze LCD 2 Closed Back headphones. I could not resist. Needed one more set to complete the trifecta of different sounds for now. The Beyer T90 for a wide soundstage and excellent detail and separation, which some consider to be bright but others like myself find them really bringing out things in some music, the Neumann NDH-30 for a very accurate sound with no real flaws, and then these for a warmer yet detailed sound.

These are planar magnetic and can go low on the low end, yet not cloud the mids or highs and still provide excellent separation. Also these are the closed back version and so when you want to jam music and be quiet, these will be the go to. And for closed back they are known well for still having a better soundstage than most closed backs are ever expected to. Super excited. Such a pleasure to listen to good music with tip sop sound, it's a meditative experience.

Hamilton Beach 5-qt. Oval Slow Cooker (Kohls)

I had three stackable $5 coupons plus a 10% off coupon from Amazon returns @ local Kohl's plus it's on sale. Paid approx $12 out the door and have used it once already.... works fine for a 3lb pot-roast with potatoes!

I do have to say however that the metal/heating element part of this slow-cooker might be the cheapest, flimsiest small appliance that I've ever had my hands on.... the outer shell feels "crinkly" lol.

Fortunately the ceramic "crock" part of this is really nice and is well-worth what I paid for the whole device by itself so I'm keeping it.

I need to get eggs. Keep meaning to stop by the farm, but I never make time. Curious to see if they've raised prices.

Pretty nifty flashlight. No need for the 3000 lumen setting and would prefer a super low 3 lumen setting, but still, quite nice

Hadn't bought bourbon/rye in a while -- literally was able to find everything I was hoping to get. Thank God Pikesville is popping up again.

I really liked the cheap Pikesville they sold a bunch of years ago. It hit well above it's $13 price tag. They got rid of it when released the "premium" version, which is very good, but I don't think I'd call it a bargain.

edit:
This is what the cheap stuff looked like...

$13 is a crazy low price! That said, I'm happy to pay $40 for the quality you get with this bottle. It's my favorite rye, second only to Angel's Envy (which is damn dear 2x the cost!).
