And a bit more on topic, a lawsuit against a federally-contracted privately owned detention center is proceeding. Inmate labor is permitted under the 'duly convicted' clause in the 13th amendment. Illegal immigrants being detained awaiting deportation hearings have not (yet) been convicted of a crime.

Because at that point the fetus is considered to be medically viable outside of the woman's body.

So is it only immoral to end a pregnancy if it's after the fetus is viable, but it's OK a few weeks before that point? And where did the court get the viability litmus test? Others might have set the litmus test as a heartbeat. The ruling pulled that standard out of their rears. As to our conversation the point here is about what standard to use regarding the baby. Not gov't seizure. Gov't seizure of private property would apply better to a situation where the gov't forces abortions on women.

They did not get that standard from our Founding Fathers. My original point is that it's not moral to allow babies to be killed in the womb but there are other reasons for allowing it
