Like I said, I sell some to neighbors, but I also get it straight from a distributor, so it doesn't sit anywhere for the extra month or so before it typically reaches your regular gas station. Plus, if you use stabilizer in the tanks you can get about 3-6 months out of it. Honestly, I never have run into a problem with it so far. These thanks are airtight, so unlike a 2 stroke engine it isn't being oxidized.

What size are your tanks?

I've got an older 250 gallon tank, and then a fairly new(about 5 years old) 500 gallon tank.

Nice! I've been thinking about using one of the old tanks from the farm... we used to use a 250 gallon tank for gasoline, but then stopped for some reason... can't remember why.

We've got a 500 gallon for diesel, but we need to continue using it for diesel. lol

One of my uncles has a 1000 gallon diesel tank... I wish I had one. lol

<edit>

Are yours in a concrete encasement, or just freestanding, or... ? Just curious 😛 It's not really relevant to anything.

I'm guessing your yard is non-smoking.

Nothing. 18 years ago I was paying $1.19 a gallon. It still hasn't made it to $2 so inflation has simply caught up. The small difference in what the price should be due to inflation can be explained by our limited refineries.

in a way it's good the price of gas is going up. The more the price of gas goes up, the more likely these fuel efficient technologies take off....

Freestanding, but they are on a side of a hill, and the pump is up top.

When did you switch to the two smaller tanks? I thought you had a 1500 gallon unit before?

Back when I used to sell to other distributors I did.

I heard that it will soon hit $4 a gallon for regular in Canada soon, the Nigerian oil workers are going on strike soon so that will boost the cost even higher.

Yeh right, overall demand for gas is up from last year.

Would be nice for ethanol to take off though. Lots of farmers where I used to live would be very happy.

In a way it's bad the price of gas is going up. Much of our goods are transported via truck, and the price of gas has the potential to raise the price of many other items.
Remember when UPS started charging the fuel surcharge?

Don't be a flame starter. If Kerry has been elected, he'd have drained our reserves with little effect on prices, then prices would have jumped to $4 while we remained vulnerable with a lack of reserves.

I find it interesting that you open with that statement, and then follow with the same kind of crap.

In St. Cloud, MN they have fuel banks. You can purchase any amount of gas at any price, then withdraw from that gas as you need it. When gas is cheap, just add more to your account.

Its very nice.

About 2 bucks a gallon down here. Sams Club is about 10 to 20 cents cheaper. High gas price is here to stay (supply vs. demand).

I am totally in shock from this. I still don't understand why we, as people living in America, have to pay more than $.50/gallon for gas. It's just not right. It's unconstitutional and unpatriotic. Sure it's a finite resource, but can't Bush go and attack somebody else and get their oil? Surely America has dibs over oil before the other countries. This is so wrong!

I wish we would hurry up and run out already. This whole price up and down crap is annoying. Enough with the impending doom already! Bring it on!
