i thought you were talking about the english/french bilingual keyboards that are on many consumer laptops nowadays. now that makes me rage. but yeah that's pretty annoying too.
My worst gripe is the FN key where the left ctrl key should be. Fucking idiots.
My laptop has that. At first I was like "WTF?" then I was like "Oh, the fn keys to turn the keyboard light on and off are at the corners of the keyboard and thus easy to find in the dark" so I was okay with it but then I thought "How often do I need to type in total darkness?" and I was back to "WTF?" but then I found a fix for it on an internet forum and thus discovered that I really didn't care all that much because I was too disinterested to even read the thread. True story. My worst gripe is the FN key where the left ctrl key should be. Fucking idiots.

please tell me that's a joke?
they've already quadrupled (or more) the size of the ipod touch. now they're going to double it again and put a scroll wheel on it?

Got a keyboard at work with this vertical layout for the home, end, del keys. Drives me nuts as that's the delete key I use most of the time and when I go looking for it I'm always hitting enter or slash. Luckily I'm not usually at that station.
I sometimes use a piece of industrial equipment where the interface requires the entry of a lot of numbers, and some letters. The control buttons are up-, down-, left-, right-arrows, and a rotary knob. There are no alphanumeric keys anywhere. You must scroll through menus by using the arrows, then rotate the knob to change the selected option on the screen, press the knob, then rotate the knob to advance the digits up or down.Sadly it wouldn't shock me if Apple really did something like this just to be different.![]()

Yes, because according to Apple haters all Apple does is take other companies ideas and make them into an Apple product. So if they never make anything from their own ideas, then there's no possible way they could make the device you mistook for one of their actual up and coming products.
