I signed up as texascpa. That's my Live account, as well.
 
I just sent Modeps a link to the new Rock Band site that seems to promise similar functionality.

Also, I finally sent my request to join that hot new tour group, Sochl.
 
As much as I want to get Rock Band, I just cant see myself spending the money yet. I'll buy in when they release the separate instruments. For now, I'll just rock with my axe. 🙂
Unless one of you want to buy me Rock Band because you're nice, someone else can start up a rock band group. Feel free to link it to sochl though.

I fully prepaid for GH3 and Rock Band already. I can't wait to try those drums.

I'll be getting Rock Band on it's new November 20th release date, but like a real rock star, I'm way too lazy and unreliable to start my own rock band group and handle the incredible amount of responsibility that undoubtedly comes with it. 😛

I heard that you can only play online coop quickplay anyways. I hope that isn't true but I did hear that Rock Band World Tour was local coop only.
 
I'll be buying the Rock Band disc only to play through the guitar part before thinking about getting the drum kit. There are way too many games coming out this fall to spend 170 on one.
 
I have Rock Band preordered as well.

GH2 is incredible with other people, Rock Band is set to make it the ultimate party-game experience. I know a couple of my female friends are into Karaoke but are terrible at GH2, so it just fits. I'd say it's worth the $170 - probably moreso than the Wii is worth $250 - and that's been the goto party game as of late.
 
Question: I haven't pre-order GHIII. What are the chances I'll still be able to pick up a copy with guitar Sunday?

OK, I joined but I need to get approved. Also, I don't get how it gets scores. It's not linked to Live in any way. I am playing on the 360 and I am on the second set of Easy, but I don't see anything online.

There's a way to link up your profile on the website, under your info in the top right, open the dropdown and click link account.

From the Main Menu, select 'Xbox Live'. Next, select www.guitarhero.com.

* Enter the VIP Passcode displayed on the screen in the sections below.
* Click the 'Link Account' button underneath.

Any reports of retailers breaking the street date? I don't have it pre-ordered but unless I get lucky earlier, I intend to go to the GameStop midnight launch in Herndon, VA tonight.
 
CK, I haven't heard of any specifics. I just know i'll probably have to wait till Tuesday or Wednesday before my copy arrives (Amazon ordered, Game only)

Sure. I got shipping notification from Red Octane last night and when I got home, it was sitting in my apartment. (they shipped it before they even sent the email).

Just beat up on Slash on Expert and am probably gonna get my ass kicked in this tier 😀

Edit: Slipknot is my first fail, and at 99% no less 🙁
