Of all the great moments on the Simpsons, I like Burns' booby traps the best:

Homer: [thinking] Oh, I've worked here for ten years and my boss doesn't
even know my name! Well, that's gonna change right now! [out
loud] My name is Homer J. Simp -- ow!
[Burns pushes a red button; a 1000g weight falls on Homer]
-- son.
Burns: [muttering] Hmm, sounded large when I ordered it. [sighs] I
can't make hide nor hair of these metric booby traps.

:D

How about the episode where Bart got the Itchy & Scratchy Studio shut down because of a bum. Bart and Lisa tried to look for ways to bring the production studio back up but got beaten by Lester and Elisa, who not only looks like them but also helped Krusty to find his astranged wife (as to his father who Bart and Lisa did help find) and get Apu out of jail!!! Bart said, "What the HELL is going on?" Now that was funny.

And I love all the Itchy & Scratchy sketches.

They fight, and bite
They fight, and fight, and bite
Fight, fight, fight
Bite, bite, bite
The Itchy and Scratchy show.

my personal favorite is when smithers goes on vacation and burns hires homer to be his assistant...homer blows up at burns, hits him in the eye, and causes burns to cower behind the plant in the corner of his office...

includes burns using a little mirror to check under the door to see if the hallway is clear for escape...burns making coffee, trying to make a phonecall, etc...

GREAT episode with many great moments...

Football in the groin...hahahahah...that was hilarious.

--------
Apu:"I've got a master's degree in computer science"
--------
The scene when the Flanders are being chased by some creature:

Ned's Wife: "Go faster, Ned"
Ned: "I can't. Its a Geo!"

Too many to name

My favorite moment is when Homer and Mojo the helper monkey are sharing a beer while sprawled out on the living room floor...and later when Homer ditches Mojo back at the agency and we learn he can "talk"...

Another classic moment is where Homer is in the Chili eating contest and pours wax over his tongue so he can "take the heat" -- which if I recall correctly leads to the sequence when he meets his spirit guide and kicks the turtle. Feel free to correct me!

Funny stuff.

Maggie talked one other time: in a Halloween episode, she killed Groundskeeper Willy with an axe, and then said something like "this is indeed a disturbing universe" in the voice of James Earl Jones.

My personal fav episode is the labor union episode:

"How often do you brush, Ralph?"

"Twice a day, sir!"

"...Why must you turn my office into a house of lies? It's time we look at a picture book: the Big Book of British Smiles."

...

"Has Maggie been chewing on a pacifier?"

"Ummmmm, not to my knowledge..."

"LIAR!"

...

"It doesn't take a whiz to see that you're looking out for number one..."

"Did you find the bathroom?"

"Ummmmm...yes..."

*****

And so on. The casino episode is great too; along with the Spruce Moose quote that a few people have mentioned, there's also:

"Bart, I don't mean to alarm you, but there may be a Bogeyman, or BogeyMEN in the house!" "WAAAHH!!"

...

"I look like a monster!"

"No, Lisa, the only monster here is the gambling monster that has a hold of your mother. I call him Gamblor! And it's time to snatch Marge from the grip of his neon claws! Waahh!!!"

*****

Greatest show in the history of network television, despite a precipitious decline in quality the last few seasons. And even so, it's still a must-watch, just not awe-inspiring.

Kindjal, right on. When she started babbling and whipping the cats, I almost wet myself.
