Holy Potato was found in Quebec
He's holding them upside down. Praise Thor!

My favorite is boiled new potatoes with a bit of salt and pepper. Least favorite is baked. I'm also not a fan of sweet potato aside from the classic candied variety.

While eating my breakfast this morning I started to ponder over the potatos I was eating. I like potatos cooked in most ways but there is one that I avoid.

I HATE TATER TOTS!

How do you enjoy your potatos?
I just had some Tater tots while at Hooters yesterday. While I like their Big Dippers, I discovered only a week or so ago they do taters as well.

I dislike sweet potatoes unless they're mashed. For regular potatoes I like mashed, baked in any form, fries, tater tots, hash browns, and occasionally raw.

My wife loves baked sweet potatoes, I eat one now and then.

My personal favorite are scalloped, we make a big casserole dish of those about once a month, just to have some to reheat later.

I basically like all, baked you just load up with a steak :) Hash browns with a big breakfast is a must in my book.

I haven't made twice baked in awhile, we used to do that a lot. Sam's here has some huge ones like I used to see in Washington state lately, you could buy one of those and just cut it in half and stuff it for two.

My first wife and I stopped by there once on the way home from Hawaii and stuck a couple from her grand fathers farm into the luggage, my dad freaked out. We made one baked potato for 5 people with dinner, they usually just process those for tots, etc.

I do my SP's in the IP. Wrap in foil, place on rack, and set to steam for ~20-25 mins depending on size. So easy. I may have to do the oven to get some crispyness once this humidity passes. Not a fan of turning on the oven when it's 100 degrees outside.
Get an electric oven instead of a gas oven. They barely affect the temperature of the house.

Anyhow,
gnucchi
or
latkes (potato pancakes)
or
pierogies
or
salted potatoes (b sized, a common side with bbq chicken - little quarter to 50 cent piece sized potatoes, baked or boiled with salt, and served dripping with butter.)

Also, cut into chunks with the skins on, (yellow potatoes are best for this) and cooked in oil with fresh chives, paprika, and some other seasonings such as a bit of chili powder (MMMmmm)

And, after that, I suppose sweet potatoes deserve an honorable mention (baked, fried, mashed); then regular bake potatoes (baked, not steamed in a microwave, you heathens), and finally french fries (curly, straight, steak).

I never understood the appeal of sweet potato fries. 2 or 3 dipped in ranch are ok, but then I reached my max for the year.

+1 cold potato salad, gnocchi, and mashed with garlic, whole milk and butter...I'm a gravy fan. Fries too, but let the restaurant deal with that mess.

I've been missing whole milk for things awhile now, have gotten out of the habit of buying it.

Almost picked up a half gallon last trip to the store, will pick some up myself next time.

I hadn't drank anything but skim for years. Had whole one day and it was like heaven.

The wife is a big 2% fan, I grew up drinking straight from the cow at one time now and then.

Big difference :)

I want some to at least cook with, but I'd probably chug it also.

That's almost homoerotic :^P

I buy 2% cause it keeps longer. I get in and out of the mood for milk, so it sometimes sticks around awhile. I buy tetrapak shelf milk from the dollar store to keep around in case I run out of milk, and want cereal or something. I try to get that in whole, but it isn't always available. It tastes a little different due to ultrapasteurization, but not bad. My daughter prefers the flavor. It comes in quarts, like elephants.

I mostly like fried potaters. Also, pepers mixed with hash browns and topped with cheese. I do like cheese topped tater tots and cheese fries. I guess I love cheese!

Well, not literally straight from the cow, but straight from the milk pail to the fridge :)

Yeah got me. :D

Pretty much all potato anything is awesome, but the only way to ruin a potato is to make this potato salad thing that uses mayo. I don't know what that really is, but it is vile. real potato salad uses a mild vinegar dressing with dill and tarragon.

We do that nearly twice a week. It's simple and a bit boring, but it's effective. It's why potatoes are so awesome.

My sister in law makes this really good warm potato salad...or at least that's what she calls it. It's almost like mashed potatoes..but not. Haven't had it in years....might need to hit her up for the recipe.

Evidently Zin's "eat a dick" price is 3m.

We all know it's lower than that....and that's before adding alcohol :D (no offense intended Zin)

I guess since I know I've had testicles at some point in my life...if it was cooked right, I would give it a try, but you might have to trick me into it.
