There is no debate. You're just wrong. Tater tots own.
You DO realize where Tater Tots come from, right?, they were first made to find a home for all the crap that was left over from french fry production. They are literally the bastard-child of 1,000,000 crippled french fries.

I'll eat both as long as they are seasoned properly.

Come to think of it I just might be putting too much butter on potatoes when I microwave them. So what would be a suitable edible plant oil I can use? I'm thinking Olive Oil since that it is flavorful and easy for me to get.

Mind you I rather stick to butter but I'm concerned about high cholesterol.

The cholesterol you eat does not pass through the wall of your intestine into your blood stream; your body makes its own. Enjoy your butter.

I only microwave potatoes for a few minutes before grilling them, but I just use a light coating of olive oil. A few tablespoons of butter go on the inside.

Well I brought some Red Potatoes instead of brown(they were out) from the store yesterday morning, and they totally taste better then brown ones do.

I think I will be buying these from now on....:D

I always buy red potatoes. Awesome for making home fries, roasting, slice them ~1/4" thick and grill them, or mashed potatoes... all with the skin on. I never understand people who peel potatoes (and carrots, for that matter.)

I don't know what kind of red potatoes that I brought are, but some of them in the bag are rather large. Strange but I always thought of red potatoes as small ones.

My cabbage soup is really simple. A couple hot Italian sausage links, cut up and browned, or not. Add them to mixture of water, salt, wine vinegar, lots of Tabasco, and black pepper. Add chopped cabbage, cook until cabbage is acceptably tender. <$5/gallon
