Thanks for the quote, bugs - I couldn't remember where that was from 😱 I was thinking of his letter to the epehesians, where he says that Jesus abolished the commandments and ordinances.

Yet all this seems to go against what Jesus taught in Matthew, where he said that he had not come to destroy the law - that not one word would be changed till heaven and earth had passed.

Paul's words in Acts confuse me somewhat - in context he seems to be saying that these are sufficient laws for the gentiles who wish to worship Christ to live by, leaving out a whole host of important others (not least that they should abstain from homosexuality).

Thats not what Christ said. He said he came not to destroy the law but fulfill the law. I don't feel like debating what he meant, but it means the penalty of the law. He came to take away the penalty of the law and offer an eternal sacrifice through his death. It goes way deep in which it could take hours, even days to just reach the meat of what he was talking about.

But where does this leave homosexuality?

The Austrian-born former bodybuilder, in the capital for his first meeting with fellow governors, said he has not thought about running for president. The Constitution says only natural-born U.S. citizens are eligible for the country's highest office.

The Republican governor said anyone who has been a U.S. citizen for at least 20 years -- as he has -- should "absolutely" be able to seek the presidency. A constitutional amendment proposed by Sen. Orrin Hatch, a Utah Republican, would make that possible.

"There are so many people in this country that are now from overseas, that are immigrants, that are doing such a terrific job with their work, bringing businesses here, that there's no reason why not," said Schwarzenegger, who became a U.S. citizen in 1983.

Homosexuality is NOT against nature.

If this many white people had taken this kind of interest in racial equality, maybe we would have not had a country with a 200 plus year history of slavery and 100 plus year fight after that for civil rights. There is only one reason so many of you are debating this hard in favor of this........................it is clear, it is of personal interest. I'm sure moonbeam was not one of that we. He was speaking colloquially. Since you are so wont to label most people up here as closet homosexuals, surely you would have been quick to call people niqqer lovers who saw through the injustices back in the 50s and 60s.

Not to worry, conjur, he has little else to say. And the time is comming when homosexuals will be accepted as part of the human race. When that happens the tremendous bigotry they have been exposed to will resurface as prejudice in many many of them. It's how hate works. People who are hated learn to hate. We will soon be seeing tons of homosexual bigots. People act out what they have experienced until they awaken. The only cure is love and self understanding.

All moonbeam is doing is comparing bigots. Just so happens that people who supported civil rights for minorities are now being pointed out by conservatives as "f*g lovers" or closet homosexuals.

It's utterly ridiculous and is an injustice to the term generalization.
