Mitch McConnell doubts the stimulus bill will pass the Senate, while trying to pretend
he and the rest of the GOP will have no impact on that potential failure.

After spending the last two years in setting a new world record on the use of the Senate Filibuster, it looks like the GOP is going for an instant replay for the next four years.
Especially given the fact that the dems went along with a Paulson written bigger tarp bailout that has proven a poorly conceived largely GOP brainfart, I shudder to think of what will happen to the American economy now if some comprehensive programs are not swiftly enacted?
This basically democratic program is what GOP and Democratic State governors are also begging for now now now, and if the aid does not hit the streets very soon in terms of programs to create employment, existing laying will turn from a trickle to a flood, taking the whole economy down with it.
Already unsold inventory is piling up, and if we follow with the republican plan of more tax cuts, the American consumer is more likely to keep it rather than spend it.
Mitch McConnell fiddles while America burns.
he and the rest of the GOP will have no impact on that potential failure.
