I paid $475 for this CPU though, quite a premium. They guy had already tested it @ 2.9/1.4v on air. Still nice to have 3ghz+ 24/7

Apparently I need large FFTs on this CPU for some reason, but its going alright, 334x9 = 3010 / 215mhz on RAM has been stable for over an hour at custom 1024-4096 FFTs

If you can run the default Large FFT tests with Max heat for more than 12 hours, that would be some serious ocing.

are u sure thats 1.52v??? in cpuz it says 1.56... generally cpuz reports .05 lower than wut its actually set to...
did u actually set the voltage to 1.52 in bios and test it with a MM?
if not thats still good overclock on 1.6v

what motherboard are you using ussually cpuz undervolts your motherboard readings, and the last pic show 1.56v you might want to look again as i've never seen a bios that is set to 1.52v and cpuz reads 1.56v. either way nice overclock.

eVGA SLI NF41

2997mhz is definitly 100% stable, did 2 loops of prime 1024k-4096k FFT.

Trying 3004 now.

If it can run 2.9 at 1.4V (versus 3 at 1.525), you should probably run that, 100MHz won't even make much of a difference to benchmarks let alone performance. it will run cooler and live longer.

Not much cooler, And with my water it'll live plenty long @ 1.525, unless, like I said, someone wans to buy it.

Yes, I know, but when temps are in check the effect is lessened. Besides, have you ever personally tested the decrease in lifespan. people are running 1.6v 24/7 wthout issue on water.
