The Glass Trick (hosted at gprime.net)

Real or fake, this is an amazing trick. If you can explain it (other than by assuming the bystanders were in on it), please do.

BTW, the tricks (there are multiple) start at about 1:30 (and it's in Japanese, so you won't miss anything by skipping).

Is this the guy climbing through the window with a piece of paper in front of it again?

EDIT: no it isn't, sorry.

I must see this! I'll edit once I've watched it.

EDIT : Magic is all about illusions, I can guarantee that it's fake as is all magic, that's why it's magic. It's an impressive trick if it's for real, because I saw no "slight of hand" or anything too misleading.

Pretty interesting.

EDIT#2 : Wow, I had only watched the part with the coin, but now I see a salt shaker and I'm confused. Must be fake.

No. I've edited my OP to clarify that.

Here we go again...

Look, I'm not saying it's real. But saying "it's fake" without offering evidence is about the same as saying "it's real" without any proof. It doesn't help anybody. If you know how he did it, please share. If you can point out indications of fabrication, please share. Otherwise, keep your unhelpful comments to yourself.

Indications of fabrication:

He's a magician
Coins don't go through glass

That's nothing. My friend used to drive a Japanese car....he was once in an accident and went right through the windshield.

I believe what he meant by fake was the same as I had thought; entirely staged. I believe the entire audience is in on it. I mean, with that kind of "ability" you could be robbing jewelery stores left and right. And don't give me that bullshit like "maybe he has morals and ethics" because they only apply to a certain degree.

The video, like most on the internet, is fake.

the salt shaker...i have no clue how he managed that one

Very well done, but if you watch closely, and have some sort of knowledge of coin manipulation (i.e., you know what to look for), you can see some of the workings. However, I guarantee there is more to this effect than sleight of hand. The restaurant was probably contacted and modified beforehand, but I doubt the audience was staged.

i was just pointing out that it's a different video, and like YOyoYOhowsDAjello says, because coins don't go through glass?

as for how he did it, there are many methods. maybe the whole video was edited professionally? you don't have to be a dick about it.

Illusions with a coin are more than possible. Currency is in grand supply. However...the salt shaker...it's fake.

This is just an idea, but I thought it looked a little strange when he picked out a coin. I am thinking that he may have picked up two coins or specifically choosed that coin because he had another one just like it. He may have held the coin under the glass in between his fingers to conceal it and smoothly pick up the coin on top of the glass as people are "wowed" by the coin underneath.

Sleight of hand, regardless of the objects being manipulated, is based on the same principles. Of course the salt shaker is fake... hence why the restaurant is is definitely in on the effect. I already covered that.

Sorry, but I posted this to find out HOW he did it. Not to watch hundreds of skeptics say "it's fake" without providing some sort of explanation. Like I said, I'm not saying it's real. I want to know how these tricks are done. If you can't provide an explanation or point out oddities, then you're basically neffing.
