The Galaxy SIII, although a great phone, is still not a competitor to the iPhone.

Honestly after using aosp builds , nexus builds , and cyanogen for years I just got tired of it. The RAZR m with a stock build has been perfect. I guess android has gotten to the point where its so good i don't care enough to tweak it.

Welcome to my world several years ago! Although I have to say it was attributed more to me not giving a crap and being too lazy to bother with tweaking my PHONE of all things.

I think over the last couple of years maybe the geek in me just died personally. I stopped caring about phones, computers, whatever.

i had a thunderbolt and a gnex, and basically all the t-mobile HTC android phones before that. And i'd be tweaking builds, installing kernels etc. then i just stopped caring. sold my desktop computer and bought a $400 laptop, and thats all i have. i guess it happens for a lot of people too. my caring about gadgets just ended i guess.

I agree. Not sure if any of the keyboard apps will help. The iPhone keyboard was smart enough to know that after I added a ' to go back to character mode and do something similar in a number of other scenarios.

Agreed. There are a lot of issues with android, of this magnitude, that give you the the impression of a lack of polish. It's just not the coherent product that iOS is (barring Maps).

There is plenty to like about Android, but it feels like a beta product. I don't have a Galaxy S3, but the Note II I'm testing now is pretty great. The screen for instance is unbelievable, and I'm enjoying my 7400-7900 quadrant scores thanks to the Perseus kernel.

TBH the Android keyboard has come a long way. I think they took too long, but i think the JB keyboard is pretty damn good.
