you guys, we fell for it... kamiam is really a 14-year old in georgia with too much time on his hands flamebaiting the forums to get some attention...

there is no use arguing with someone like that... let's just be happy that we're right and move on...

just to keep things in perspective, only 3 of the top 50 fastest stock muscle cars of all time even ran in the 12's...

sad thing is, for all those who hate &quot;rice burners&quot;, do you even own a muscle car? Do you own a vette, viper, the oldy-mustangs? I know i don't (maybe not yet, hopefully a porche carerra soon), own a muscle car.

Of course, there are those who own it and have the right to say they waxed a rice burner 20x over, but for those who don't own anything or simply drive a dodge intrepid to work, y don't u say something useful instead of bringing hate into the forum.

Nowadays, ppl like to make comparison on everything, even on things we don't know about. I don't think these anti-rice ppl ever driven (personally, not jus on passenger seat) a 650 or 900hp supra. All I know, those supra eats vipers up (seen too many in newport coast). I dare to say, it easily eats up f360 and the mercedes cl-500/600. Some of those cars have some really weird stuff inside them.

I am as pro-muscle car as the next car. My Daily Driver for two years (recently 😉 ) was a 67 mustang, so I at least know what it feels like to punch it have the 4bbl drop gas into the V8...

I apologize for Kamiam. His intentions are good - defending muscle cars' honor. He is just a bit exitable and hasn't taken his ritalin today.
 
o yeah, how does a wrx compare against the mustang GT? My friend says he smokes 'stangs all the time, but the cobra was very difficult and in fact, he lost due to not wanting to go to 140mph on the streets in broad daylight (he pushed it to 120mph) then began braking.

Most ppl who own these lowered-cars have like an attitude problem (i noticed mostly in white and mexican ppl for some reason). I don't hate, its jus different styles of cruising. So I do understand why the muscle car owners have beef with them.

i dont think he is defending muscle cars so much as knocking guys who would rather have a supra or 3000GT
 
ur right, 'stangs isn't too descriptive. I don't know whether he always races v-6 or v-8's.

However, I WAS NOT PRESENT when it happened, but I heard it immediately (since we were all meeting at the beach for a bonfire).

Freaken our friend in the passenger seat was still yelling at him for driving too fast on the street. (They were driving in the bike lane, etc etc). All I know it was crazy and DANGEROUS. I too yelled at him for being an idiot.

Since it is a relatively new car, he hasn't raced much against other kinds (ie, z28, etc etc).

My dad owned one before I was born, and said the car would &quot;sh1t and get&quot; to borrow his phrase. I know it's not as quick and nimble as a supercar today, but it sure is a fun ride.

I still love my mom's '89 Mustang 5.0. I wish she'd let me have it so I could build the engine up for street racing, but I know that'd never happen. 🙁

Haha I can't believe this thread is still alive.

Older Muscle Cars (Chevells and Malibus, stuff like that) were like 2 and a half tons. Heavy cars. Big heavy motors.

Its a simple fact that todays high output imports are amazingly quick. 14second 1/4 miles were quick back in the day, but we've evolved, so get over it.

Static911- Stock vs. Stock a WRX vs. GT should be about even. WRX vs. Cobra, the Cobra would win hands down to any speed. Its simply a MUCH faster car. There is a bulding aftermarket for the WRXs but it will take a few years.

He has a 31 year old car and prolly doesn't take care of it, That year is so easy to work on and keep up. I had a 69 Chevy that was so straight forward you would have to be a moron to not be able to keep it up.

(not my idea, my fathers, who in turn is thinking of supercharging his ls-430 engine and my mom's 99 ls-400).

hrmmm a mod is typically thought of as AFTER FRIGGIN MARKET IDIOT

things done to an engine in the factory are not modifications b/c they are not aftermarket and thus are STOCK
