mindless orroroRORoaroaoroaro breaks the forum rules, yet again.

lol, this organic stain violates forum rules like Trump violates a McDouble 3 times per day.

You are behaving just as expected.

You have no case, and so you can only hope to silence people.

Why would they lie to you, such smart people, the "good people", the "educated" and "informed"...

Why was it so easy... you won't ask why, not sure if you are capable.

LOL, you do realize that Van Jones says the EXACT same thing about the Russia investigation every day, on air, on CNN, right? I'm sure the music, shaky hidden cam, and quick edits may convince you that something foul is afoot...but he's been saying that on CNN for WEEKS! Also, he's a commentator, expressing an opinion, not reporting on the results of any investigations (which btw are on-going...)

Van Jones:
“I am glad there is a Russia investigation and I hope they get to the bottom of it,”...“I think Democrats are fooling ourselves if we think that something is going to come out of this investigation that is somehow going to end the Trump Presidency and make everything better. Unless there is a real smoking gun which there is probably not, it's just going to be a big old mess. Meanwhile, we are not talking about jobs, not talking about poverty, not talking about solutions, not talking about the addiction crisis. Let's talk about our stuff .”

Those are some valid points, but we can easily add the russian investigation into the mix because most adults are capable of multitasking jobs/responsibilities/crisis situations when they arise/etc.
It's not an either/or.

Let you wife or S.O. come home and say "you better hope I haven't cheated on you" See what that does for the household.

Then you ask her directly and she refuses to answer. You would probably dump her ass. Wonder why your standards for POTUS are far lower?

He knows this as well as anyone, he just doesn't care. If this were Clinton he would harp about her dishonesty. Since it's a Republican he plays stupid and pretends words don't have obvious meaning.

I'm not defending his action of implying ... whatever about the tapes.

In the original post that I responded to, his ( Trumps ) implication was called a lie, which it isn't. Yes, he has told many lies but this is not one of them.

Quit being obtuse.

So to be clear we all agree that Trump's statement was intended to make Comey think there may be recordings of their conversation, right?

If so that means that your argument is basically that Trump attempted to deceive Comey (unsuccessfully, it appears) but that deception is not a lie? I hardly see why this distinction matters.

In my opinion he wanted Comey to think about what he was saying and to make sure he was correct before making any rash statements.

There is a big difference between saying I have tapes and you better hope that I don't have tapes.

Of course to each his own, and I am biased as I think Comey is a snake in the grass.

So we both agree that Trump wanted Comey to act differently based on the idea that Trump may have tapes of their conversations despite Trump knowing that no such tapes existed.

That's a pretty obvious attempt at deception. I genuinely cannot understand why that is a meaningful difference. We have the President of the United States attempting to deceive the former head of the FBI in order to alter the content of his sworn testimony, which is arguably a felony. I cannot imagine what conservatives would have done had Obama done this but their rage would have been off the charts.

Of course to each his own, and I am biased as I think Comey is a snake in the grass.

I have to say regardless of what you think of Comey surely you can agree he is more credible than Trump as...well...literally everyone is more credible than a lifelong serial liar.

So, what you're saying, along with Trump, that Comey's testimony was in fact completely true, damaging as it was for Trump, right?

He wanted to influence Comey to be truthful. How would the "possible existence" of a tape recording influence someone to lie under a sworn testimony. If anything it would make him want to tell exactly the truth.

No, Wrong.

I have no idea if it was completely true or not, just like you. Neither of us were in the room and there are no tapes.

No. Almost correct though. He wanted his twitter followers to believe exactly what you portray here. Congrats on being a follower - or what is it they call it, a useful-something. ;)

You do agree he is a more credible source than Trump though, right? I mean, it's Trump.

OK. Explain to me How would the "possible existence" of a tape recording influence someone to lie under a sworn testimony?

That is not the purpose of the tweet. The purpose of the tweet is to rally his followers in an attempt to smear Comey. What Trump did there was to insinuate that IF there were tapes then something bad for Comey would be on them. It is a win-win lie for Trump, therefor ... the fucker lies. Alot.
Havent you noticed? Trump cares shit about rules proceedings intelligence and even the law .. He is on a constant rallying campaign. Constant. You should be worried dude.

Well no. I choose not to run around in a circle with my hair on fire.

You can choose your own method of dealing with life.

Imply = Strongly suggest the truth or existence of (something not expressly stated).

Lie = Marked by or containing untrue statements.

Trump said Comey better hope there are no tapes of talks,

Where is the untrue statement.

I'm done... Rage on.
