I'm a big fan of the hard case wallets. I used to use the leather fold type, but nothing I carried would survive in there. The breaking point came when I had a doctors appointment and had to present my health card. Never will I forget the shame I felt as I handed my card to the receptionist - in 3 pieces. The look of disappointment/disgust/disbelief in her eyes will stay with me.
Apparently the metal case will also block magnetic fields & RFID type stuff, but I don't know how much of a real concern that is. It's like a tinfoil hat for your credit cards!

What the hell are people carrying that need anything more than the front pocket type wallet? I have 3 CC's, two personal one company, debit card which I only use for ATM's, Costco card, DL, health directive and health plan cards. Literally 9 "cards".

The only cards I carry are DL, CC, bank ATM and health. Registration and insurance are in the car.
