I roll things with my fingers....shoelaces...small pieces of paper...those paper sleeves that cover straws.
It drives my wife crazy.

i lol'd at this

i'm quiet - i don't talk much. even around friends but not as bad. i just feel i never have anything useful to add to a conversation. that and most people i hang around with don't have anything in common with me.

i daily got to lunch with 2 or 3 women and 95% of the time I just sit and listen to them talk. We're all friendly but they're always talking about their families or they do stuff together outside of work.

My peeve is doodspeak. When I see something like "y ur wut plz 2 b 4 ne1?" I seriously want to strangle the little bastard that wrote it. It's bad enough people are so stupid, but they seem to be actively embracing stupidity and I'm not sure if that's more frightening, or sad. Half of each, I guess.

Not to mention xD and ^_^ etc

Ok, my strangest one is... periods
I hate using periods, which is why I always use "...", perhaps because I dont like to give the idea of finality in what Im saying, I prefer to leave room to elaborate, always

I know, I know... I HAVE to use them in certain situations, but if Im not required to, I will avoid them like the plague

Another one is, I always leave food/drink whenever I eat something... doesnt matter what, I just always leave something (a small bit though, of course)

And in general, Im not much for habits or traditions, so I tend to do things my own way, instead of doing it the way I see others do, which might look weird when you meet me at first

As evidenced by this pic, I have a problem knowing when to get rid of old stuff.

That, and I bite my fingernails. A lot. I managed to quit smoking, but I still can't kick that habit. Go figure...

Freebies thread in 'Free stuff' forum?

pm me the list 1st, so i can have first dibs 😀

1. People who take way more items than the 15 specified in the express checkout lane
2. (as stated earlier) People who wait for parking spots when there is a perfectly good one 8 spaces down. Its not like thier fat ass couldn't use more exercise.
3. For some reason about 75% of the time I can't stand people whispering. I don't know why - its just the way it sounds to me. It makes me cringe like nails on a chalkboard does to other people

whenever i remember something i did wrong, and i'm alone, i do an elvis like move w/the hip/hand to shake it out of my system.

seldomly works tho 🙁

i have a thing about sounds...
ex: a friend gets into car and closes door too lightly. the door is latched just fine but it has to make a loud enough noise for me not to go insane and demand re-closing of the door...haha...same way with house doors, etc. but not so loud...

also, i put my parking brake on whenever i park (dur), and if does not make a loud enough noise when release i have to re-set it. i dont know what it is but it just makes me feel very weird when i dont hear the right noise.

also, i cannot sleep without background noise. it is usually southpark or at least TV or something, but i also like to have fans going in the background to drown out any odd noises...

i cant think of any real pet peeves i have, but i suppose when some older people talk with that hissing 's' noise i want to break their teeth (or dentures) in half so i dont have to hear that god damned noise anymore. however i enjoy the hiss of my snake...go figure

I absolutely flip out when someone talks in internet acronyms. When I first started my internship, my officemate said "Hi2U" on a regular basis. I put up with it for a while but eventually went on a rather humoruous rant about it. He stopped.

I also roll random paper-ish object that I happen to be holding. (Straw covers, candy wrappers, etc).

Hi2U isn't so bad... But when someone says W-T-F mate, that crosses the line.

I actually follow the rules.
Might seem silly but coming from the Navy it seems to me that civilians all think rules are for someone else.

I work at a company that is supposed to keep ISO 9001 and 14001 compliant.
We get a very good lecture on ISO when we go through orientation. We also have plenty of warning signs and instructions telling us how to keep compliant with these standards.
It pisses me off when I constantly see people breaking the rules and they dont seem to even care about it.
I guess they figure they will still be getting a paycheck even when this place gets shut down.

i sometimes start thinking of a word, and i will repeat it over and over in my head. ex: "puddle"

then i'll start to realize how ridiculous the sound of the word is, and i'll run around saying "puddle puddle puddle" to everyone, trying to convince them how ridiculous it is....

..I don't have a face full of nose bolts or earings..tat's on my neck. My clothing fits..I'm not an eco-theists although I'm a reg.democrat but don't smoke dope or get high. so in todays society I stick out like a sore thumb. 😀

Yes. I know this. Very well. The more you say it, the weirder it gets. 😕

People saying "Good morning!" or "How'd you sleep?" when I'm waking up. It pisses me off beyond belief and if there are people around where I'm sleeping (sometimes I fall to sleep on the living room floor) I'll lie for hours pretending to be asleep just waiting for the people to leave. Once I get up I have to go through a wake up phase, which consists of me avoiding all human contact for twenty or so minutes (usually by washing my face and hair for that time) until I leave my "Get the fuck away from me, damnit!" mood.

The shower curtains not doing their job properly gets me really angry as well. I can be in a perfectly good mood but once I see water dripping past the curtains onto the carpet I'm punching walls.

I hate it when people watch TV with the volume ALL the way up, it's just fscking annoying because I can always hear it if I'm in my room. I have to tell them to put the volume down EACH TIME.

It'd probably take me a year to type out all the weird fucked up shit that I have to do (OCD++) so let's just say that it takes an immense amount of concentration to appear like nothing is wrong.
