I think they're assholes for mis-spelling that name, just so it could start with a J.

On another note, my siblings and I also have J names. Jillian, Justin, Jeremy and James.

Hmm, doesn't burden the taxpayers, doesn't abuse the kids FLDS style, kids aren't tearing up the neighborhood and causing all sorts of problems for the community yet it seems some would love for social services to go in and break the family apart for their own good because it doesn't conform to supposed societal norms.

And all it takes to make them lose all their kids, at least temporarily, is one call to social services.

Wouldn't Bible time and acting out good and bad roles be considered brainwashing and mental abuse? The kids are being pounded into mindless religious zealots as surely as any other wacko religious group out there. Anyone who can't see this as obvious child abuse, is just blinded by religion. Does Bible time go on for HOURS and HOURS several times a day? No wonder the younger kids sleep through Bible time.

jesus tap-dancing christ. do atheists verbally abuse their children about how religion is the root of evil in the world, thus causing them to become zealous atheists? :disgust:

get the fuck over the fact that these people want to have children. they are not burdening anyone except themselves, but if they are happy with their lifestyle, then you can do jack shit about it.

My mother-in-law is a home visit nurse for pregnant women receiving assistance. One of the women she visits is 25 and has 8 children. All of them by the same guy at least, but he's fathered something like 22 kids in our town. IIRC all but three of them are on welfare. The state offered to give him a free vasectomy, but of course, he declined. The guy must have super-sperm.

If nothing else the Duggars are making up for this ambulatory welfare penis stalking our town . . . so kudos to them.

No they don't. Guess that's kind of the point, huh. "Dad, can I be the crack dealing pimp tonight? And sis be the runaway virgin again?" Sounds like good old wholesome fun to me. :p

Funny how countries with over a billion breeding tards, seek to limit the mindless tard population growth. Just because these zealot bunnies are not a burden to the taxpayers now, does not mean they will not be in the future.

Why bother? Did you need to look up fuck again?

Mom's got issues, and religion is just the excuse for the obsessive compulsion. Pops obviously got issues along these lines, too. Keep them dumb, barefoot, and preggars.

burden?
their family isn't broken. the only burden children are the ones from broken families who slip into uselessness.
like it or not, someday you will grow old. and sometimes you will lose your faculties and will need care, by the next generation. you will probably be their burden.
so don't get to smug.

Hopefully they at least teach their kids tolerance. Your parents dropped the ball when they were raising you.

This seems more a result of religious fanaticism. They state they will continue to have children as long as God wills, but it is THEIR actions that keep the mother in a state of near perpetual pregnancy. Barring any real kind of birth control, abstinence is 100% effective, as many evangelicals will say. They don't seem to be using that. Even the rythm method crowd have better results than these guys. I'm pretty religious myself so I can't knock them for their devotion, but even I think they take that whole "be fruitful and multiply" thing a little TOO literally. It boarders on a psychological condition here.

The mother has been quoted as saying that she isn't happy unless she has a newborn to take care of or is pregnant. Past a certain point, you can't actually raise your kids, you pawn them off on the eldest, who are often still children themselves. Even if you could financially support them all without any outside assistance whatsoever, I do not think that it is fair to the children emotionally and developmentally speaking. There simply isn't enough time in the day to really focus on that emotional bond. Heck, my own mother was 9/10 children, so I can see the results of the compromises that must inevitably be made when trying to bring up such a large family. I can't count all the cousins I have at this point...hehe..

Here's a real gem from the TWOP forums that really puts the whole "quiverful" brood into perspective:

When a quiver walks in
Looking real chaste
With that hoop skirt in ya face
You get sprung
The bolded part makes it sound like pregnancy is almost a hobby for her.
I don't think humans were supposed to have litters of offspring.

Modern medicine made this insane breeder possible. More than 50 years ago, she would have most likely died of complications or been rendered infertile before the 4th or 5th kid. Ain't modern medicine grand? This ain't no miracle here, folks. Mother nature would have most likely stopped this breeding in its tracks at least 15 kids ago. Thank her gynecologist for this false religious miracle.

He probably stopped being able to make kids the natural way 15 kids ago since the super slip and slide water tunnel opened up. He most likely has to use a turkey baster to get the job done now, while watching religious porn of naked milk maids squeezing cow udders on the farm to fill it up.

What the hell are you talking about? My mom was one of 7 kids, and my dad was one of 9 kids. Believe it or not, but there's a reason why the post WWII era was called the baby boomers generation, and there is nothing preventing a woman from having tons of children other then the 9 month time to wait in between.

Modern finance and social freedom is what prevents today's families from having large families.

Alright Slicksnake, we get it. You hate religion and you hate people who decide to have lots of kids. Now get over it and stop thread crapping.

As for this family, it looks like the dad makes more than enough to provide for this family and all the kids are getting more resources than typical. Heck, having an indoor slide, home arcade room, 2 kitchens, and a 2000 sq feet living room sounds like a nice living.

first off, that bolded part isn't even true. It is just a statement MovingTarget made up to prove his point.
