What do you propose will happen first... asteroids obliterating us, quakes shaking us to our core, or water swallowing us whole ? It's not so far from sci-fi anymore... someday it will be our turn.

It's just the luck of the draw if it will happen during our hundred years of life... or the next...

We can all die any day with thounsands of possibilities.

look at the guy last week that got killed driving on the cross island express way when we had that big rain last week here in long island RH71, a tree fell down and hit his car and killed him right away.

 
Well if the government doesn't keep cutting funding to the space program maybe we'll have other places to go when that does happen.
