Is it me or does it look like that one firefighter is checking out that chick? Was she a passenger, or maybe a witness? Either way, if he was hitting on her that's not really the time or place....."So baby, how about after this we hop in my car with regular doors and go for a drink."!

OMFG, roasted people. Nasty.

So what are you saying? "Baked" is acceptable but roasted isnt? 😕

(Tacky I know. I do feel for the victim and would like to thank the OP for the headsup. No Lambo in my future thats for damn sure. Ferrari, Ford GT, Viper....perhaps).

OMFG I was just thinking about this erlier today when I saw a lambo. Now when a guy showing off his lambo i say so you flip car goes on fire how u get out.

Frankly, you're not going to have much success opening ANY car door if you're on the roof. This is because the roofline will deform, and the door will either become jammed in place, or the friction with the ground will be too great to overcome. I've got a firefighter cousin, and I asked him about it, and he said he'd never seen a rollover where ANY of the doors opened successfully, including his own rollover. Usually the windows broke out and provided enough room for escape. Chances are, the driver was unconscious, or just couldn't escape the restraints (a risk with any vehicle).

why is it the same one in the nice parking lot shots, as in the accident? was this just a demonstration, and are those just dummies?

I've gotten out of a car with a deformed roofline, a long time ago i rolled a car a couple times but it ended right side up.

Yes the door is hard to open and obviously it won't open smooth, but you can kick it out.

Lambo flips onto roof, passengers burned alive because of door design.

Eh, something tells me the flip got them first. The fact that the doors don't open probably only made it harder to pull out the gibs.

Yeah, it's possible to open depending on the exact circumstances, but if you add friction with the ground, which isn't present if your car ends rubber side down, it becomes even more difficult, if not impossible.

For all the money they charge for those clinkers you'd think they'd have an escape hatch with explosive bolts.

Not a demonstration, two people were killed in the accident from what has been previously reported...

Ouch, hopefully the family sued Lamborgini for this. What a sad way to die.

Uhhh, I dont think Lamborghini had anything to do with the crash. That's like I saying I should sue Toyota or Honda or something if my car flips on the side and I can't open the door outward.

No, that would be like getting into a wreck in a narrow alley and your car catching on fire, and suing Toyota or Honda because you can't open your doors upward.

Though of course, in both scenarios, for it to be sue worthy and fit in with the above story, you'd have to die and someone else would have to file suit for you.

Nothing to do with the doors. Looks highly likely, from the damage and the separation of parts before it rested, that the occupants were already fvcked before the fire.

At least I hope so for their sake. It must be the worst way to go, being burnt alive.
