Check that the info on the ticket and other paperwork you received is correct. Spelling of name, address, drivers license number, etc. If that checks out contact the arresting officer and see what he says. He may have gotten busy and forgot to turn in the paperwork or it got misplaced in transit. He would be my first stop to see what happened. For a speeding ticket they would chuck it out if the ticket wasn't turned in by the court date. For a DUI not so much, but that will depend on the jurisdiction. Here you can't get a DUI tossed out. The DA has to write a letter and fill out a lengthy packet that is sent to the state for any DUI that is dismissed. They have tried really hard to cut out the buddy system with DUI's.
Stay on top of it as the chances of it slipping through the cracks are extremely slim. If you have access to an online warrant system or court system check it daily. The chances of an order for arrest being issued for missing court are pretty high.
