The countdown to surgery begins...

I hope she comes out ok! 🙂

And I hope the doctor knows how to properly close up the incision. I had neck surgery last year and I've got a nice big scar on the back of my neck for the rest of my life because the assclown fvcked up :|

I've got a scar from my crotch to my ankle where they took out a vein to do my quadruple bypass.
Every time I look at it I thank God that I'm still alive.

Best of luck to Mrs. Amish.

Maybe it's not dangerous but it doesn't look pleasant to me. If it was my wife I'd be on pins and needles until the doctor told me the operation was ok. 🙁

EA - Best wishes to your wife, I hope that everything goes well and its the start of a bright new pain free future for you both.

I wish her a speedy recovery & much relief from pain in the future.

BTW was your wife diagnosed with "Chiari Malformation", or is the surgery an alternative treatment for her migraine headaches?

What?

EA - I hope your wife does great. After an MRI once, I looked at my report. It said that I also had one, but apparently not that significant. It may not even still be there. If I may ask....what were her symptoms? If you don't feel comfortable posting them, you can PM me here or at my forums.

It's just been her headaches. The discovery was made during an MRI to determine if she had a tumor on her Pituitary gland (which she does).

For a moment I thought about quoting some of your statements from the Cobain thread...but just for a moment. Then I thought, "He may be heartless, but I don't want to be that way." Good luck to your wife. I truly hope everything goes ok and she has a fast recovery.

This has nothing to do with your situation but...
Sixteen years ago doctors gave my sister a maximum of 6 months to live due to colon cancer. They gave her a 5% chance of living that long. Since then the cancer has gone into remission, she's graduated from college, and had a baby girl.

Keep your chin up dude. She'll be ok.

Best of luck to your wife!

I had open heart surgery 2 years ago, just a week after graduating from high school. The doc spotted a hole in my heart that nobody had noticed over my entire life. Not exactly fun, but certainly not the end of the world.

Well, I hope all goes well. I've had two brain surgeries with no problems so I'm sure she'll be okay. I'll be sure to say a little prayer for her. 🙂
