It's customary to give credit to the source when you steal material from them.. rather than to pass it off as your own.

Eh, ignore the flamers... thanks for the useful information :beer: I always buy this German Dark Wheat bread from Kroger or Harris Teeter or Wegmans... I think its pretty good.

FDA labelling guidelines are very lax and rarely enforced.

No, HFCS is no joke. I believe it is no coincidence that as HFCS has replaced Sugar and other sweeteners in almost everything today, diabetes and other health ailments have skyrocketed.

No, HFCS is no joke. I believe it is no coincidence that as HFCS has replaced Sugar and other sweeteners in almost everything today, diabetes and other health ailments have skyrocketed.

Diabetes has skyrocketed because overweight and obesity has skyrocketed. Correlation does not prove causation. Diabetes has a proven link to obesity. To try and claim the increase is caused by HFCS is absurd.

And again, the amount one would get from bread is very small. I have no idea if there really is any harm to heavy soda drinkers, since the amount they get is many, many, MANY times greater than I would ever get in my bread. (I don't drink any sweetened drinks... water only)

BTW, I have seen wheat breads in stores that use sugar instead of HFCS. I switched to one for nearly a year. I saw no difference in my body fat or weight gain/loss cycles. I'm a body builder, I monitor that very closely.
