The thing is, though, that being a hypocrite doesn't make what one says factually incorrect. There are many I consider to be hypocrtical who I nevertheless can't disagree with on a factual basis. Case in point (as I mentioned here once before) my very overweight doctor telling me to be more physically active. The fact that I was at the time far more active than he was didn't make the advice bad advice.

But in the case of the Fox news example, it's subtlety different from that. Negotiating with North Korea is not a personal 'vice' or a weakness of personal morals, it's a policy choice. I think that's actually a different thing from just hypocrisy. Fox's sin is less hypocrisy than credibility-destroying inconsistency.
