my dad is Quebecois and didn't have me circumcised because he wasn't.

I'd probably have my own kids cut, though. it's been like a major insecurity of mine since adolescence and I've thought on and off about taking the plunge to get circumcised as an adult.

my own experience is that being uncut is an asset with gay men and straight women are indifferent or turned off by it.

Just reading this thread makes me want to circumcise all my male children, and recommend friends doing the same so they can avoid their children becoming hopeless losers who think they need to compensate on the internet.

I'm vehemently against it in the typical sense, eg. something done unconsentually to newborns. If you're 18 and want to cut up your willy, go nuts. Or leave your nuts alone and just stick to your willy. Either way it's your businesss.

Religion has multiple purposes. One is to pass on distilled wisdom from generation to generation. And for tens of thousands of years, we didn't have running water. In which case circumcision makes perfect sense. Like everything else about religion, the modern world has made circumcision obsolete. It's no longer difficult to keep the glans clean, as most men take 1-2 showers a day.

I'm cut and I'm disgusted with the establishment that let it happen. The sleazy doctor looking to make a few bills for 5 minutes' work, the obsolete religions which insist their doctrines and thus power remain a part of society, and my parents for not having the brains to question it. I'm looking into foreskin restoration, which apparently is very possible with patience and an understanding of the methods involved. I'd post a link but I don't think it's appropriate for AT, google should suffice if you're interested.

Thanks to UD, I now know that "docking" and "space docking" are entirely different actions. And I have to wonder who the fuck finds the latter pleasurable .

That I know is wrong. When your circumcised, all your nerve endings on the head becomes deadened scar tissue. Uncircumcised head = full feeling.

2) I don't resent my parents for circumcising me. It's the norm and especially in hospital to a general populous, everyone recommends it
3) I am circumcised. It's interesting to note that it was done when I was 9. I remember the surgery in detail... the anesthetic needles going into the base of my small pee-pee...
