DRAM-less. Will make a nice scratch disk for Adobe apps in my case.

Edit: Canceled my order. No longer sure if buying a DRAM-less SSD for a scratch disk is a wise move. Will have to read up on that.

Silicon Power Ace A55 2.5" 256GB SATA III 3D TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SU256GBSS3A55S25NB $18.49
$5 promotional gift card w/ purchase, limited offer By SP Silicon Power

Not a bad price on it's own. I wonder if you can get multiple GCs? That would make these kind of hot.

EDit: Dead deal, now $29.99 with $5 GC.

The 2TB NVME SK Hynix Gold P31 is now $149 @ Amazon, if anyone is still looking. Even made a front page hot deal on another famous deals website. Plus, it's listed as one of the best mainstream NVME drives (as of May 2021) from our beloved overlords.

Snagged one for my upcoming build.
Thanks for the link, but from your link, I ended up going for the Platinum P41 2TB as it is on sale also and only $170 on Amazon U.S. I guess I upsold myself.... Seemed like a great price on one of the faster PCIE 4 drives.

I considered a PCIe4 drive, but I'm using a SATA SSD as my current OS drive, so I figured I wouldn't notice much of a difference if I went PCIe3.0 vs 4.0, since any NVME drive will be a substantial improvement. (Also trying to not to go overboard with my new build.)

I'll let you know. I have a few 3.0 nvme in use now and this will be my first 4.0. I "think" I observed some improvement from sata ssd to 3.0, but mostly from large file transfer. And I do some video and a lot more audio editing. Though audio anymore does not stress SSD with enough RAM...

I don't expect to see much difference honestly. It's just a new build and will be my primary for the next 2 years... I hope the lower latency may be noticable for day to day stuff?

I would not worry about it, but for $30, It is worth a test.

Unless you are doing a lot of large file transfers between local fast drives - like other ssds... or with a home server, pushing a ton of small files, I don't understand why anyone would need other than even a slow 3.0 nvme.

Only a 1 year warranty though. That concerns me. (whether it should or not is a different discussion)

Never mind. It looks like SP offers 3 or 5 year warranties, depending on the drive.
My bad.

TEAMGROUP AX2 2TB 2 Pack 3D NAND TLC 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD
$186 with free Prime Shipping ($93 per drive!), 3 Year / 1600TB TBW warranty
DEAL IS DEAD, now $196 with free Prime Shipping ($98 per drive)!

$93 per 2TB SSD is an amazing price if you need quantity two and you like Team Group AX2 drives. I've never owned one and have no opinion. Product description lists SLC cache, Amazon lists read/write of 540/490 MB/s for the 2TB SSD. Team Group link for this drive: https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/product/ax2
