I know most of you are using Athlon 64 or Pentium 4C boxes for your gaming, but my flagship gaming system for the past 4 1/2 years has been a 440BX box, and today I hope to extend its life a bit more
I bought a VisionTek 64MB Radeon 9100 recently to replace a Radeon DDR. Here are my current specs: Pentium 3 750 MHz, 512 MB PC100 SDRAM, 40 GB WD SE drive (8MB Cache, 7200RPM), Radeon 9100.
Went from 2500 3D2K1 marks to 4400 3D2K1 marks at XGA resolution
and damn does it feel good to have pixel shadders at last (nature scene finally veiwable!).
Anyone else using a somewhat obsolete machine for games?
