I like Costco bacon because you can see how fatty/lean the bacon is.

try doing that w/Oscar meyer bacon. they cleverly package their bacon so you cant see what a slice actually looks like.
you only see the edges of the bacon.

Costco bacon is the only bacon I buy now because of that.

As a Chef, I can tell you it's less about who makes it and more about how thick it's cut. Thick cut bacon is better.

I find sometimes you buy it and it's really thick, other times they slice it quite thin. Even from the exact same brand and manufacturer. Kirkland is pretty good though. Costco's meat in general is leagues ahead of what you get in the grocery store.

Brand wise I don't pay much attention but thick center cut peppered bacon is my favorite. Shame it's about 10$ a lb

Lean or fatty. Thick or thin cut. I have options on how it was cured.

Can not stand turkey bacon, bland. Bacon needs flavoring that comes with the fat and curing.
