The more important question is why the hell can't any fast food place get the bacon crispy.. i've seen it occasionally on a wendys jr bacon but usually its just super thin barely cooked pathetic pieces.. especially mcd's.

I don't buy special bacon at this point in my life. As it is, a pound of bacon is barely enough with 3 growing boys, my wife, and I. It's, at best, $3.99/lb, normally 4.99 or 5.29 a lb. UGH, too expensive.

However, I must give props to my wife for a great purchase she made. Hyvee had some bacon that was rapidly going to expire, so they put it out for 99 cents/package. She bought 42 pounds of bacon and its all sitting in the freezer. Should be enough to last us through February.

This place sells Hungarian Pepper bacon at the local farmers market, which I thought was absolutely amazing. Then I tried their Raspberry-Chipotle bacon, and now I'm relatively certain nothing else will come close.

For store-bought, I'm a Hormel Black Label kind of guy.
