Then again, perhaps the title and opening date will bring people into the theater with their mind already made up that it is Satan that is behind this. Perhaps not. Either way, messing with the very fabric that makes civilization what it is, and not understanding its consequences, is a very dangerous thing. Telling the world that Christ never existed may have profound effects, at the very least on the makers of this movie.

Not everyone can handle the truth.

strange...how you say people can't handle the truth...HELLO!!!!!! LOL

how is it strange?

It's always amusing to hear the atheists come out of the woodwork in support of anti-Christian activity, particularly when the activity is a production of fiction. If you're an atheist, why take any time at all to even consider Christianity? Why don't you just shake your head and move merrily on your way?

Lol. Cause it's that nasty RRR that is always putting them down trying to oppress them. 😛

geewiz...have to be careful here fore I notice that you may not be playing with a full deck...anyway, how can there be a satan if there is no Creator? Is there a living testimonal to his creation other than what is spoken in the bible? I could go on but it would be pointless...a waste of time and energy...have a good one Dari...

oh yea...handling the truth...its right in front of you and you aren't even aware of it...you have a free will like everyone and you have made your choices...so be it...

Dari didn't claim there was no creator, nor did he claim there is a satan. It seems you completely missunderstood him.

There is at least a point of dispute regarding the reality of Christ. This work, as well as the Da Vinci Code, are pure works of fiction. You will find them under 'fiction' in the library. They are fictitious works. The Bible may or may not be. I don't see Christians chomping at the bit to make movies defaming atheists, but maybe that's just me. Feel free to back up your claim with examples.

Many people belive in a Creator without beliving in Christ, and I happen to know from previous disscusions Dari is one such person. I'm not sure whether he belives there is a satan or not; but I do know that he mearly pointed out might atribute the film to satan's will regardless of whether or not Dari himself belives in such an entity.

Dude says Christ NEVER Even Existed 😕 huh?

And that is the truth he believes.. wow.. that is hard to believe

I could not care less whether a guy named Jesus really existed. Most of the Bible, including stories of the life of Jesus are pure fiction. It's when people insist that I have to take it as seriously as they do that bothers me. The many laws based purely on Christian beliefs are a major irritation. I could only wish someone could prove to the believers that it is all fiction.

I mentioned Satan solely as a source which the skeptics might attribute this movie from originating. A movie called "The Beast" and opening on 6-6-06 will undoubtly have people thinking this flick is "evil."

Who knows, perhaps the whole naming scheme and opening date is a hint so as to almost guarantee in the mind of some that the film did originate in Hell. Some people may stop at that layer. Other may dig deeper and see that the film really does have some facts to it. That could be the second layer.

It seems like the thinkers behind it are setting it up in such a way as for it to have a double meaning. That way, everyone will be satisfied.

I remember whne the Fundies got their panties all ina wad when "The Last Temtation of Christ" was released. I bet most of them didn't even bother reading the script of watching the movie as it wasn't critical of Christianity at all.

Should be entertaining just like the 'Prince of Darkness'.

Despite the campy elements I thought "Prince of Darkness" was a very good movie. But I agree with some of the toad stools that posted previously . . . the militant Christians will incinerate any theater that shows this movie. I hope the budget is frugal b/c this bad boy is going straight to video. I wonder if I can put it in my Netflix queue?

Ya, I liked that movie, but I don't recall any king of controversy about it.

By my approximation, Christians just were not that militant back then. It was all about having a personal relationship with God . . . not . . . "how much can I get into everyone else's business."

POD didn't deny the existence of God, if anything it affirms it. Granted, I guess it is a touch troubling that God doesn't make an appearance.
