If you lived in Russia you'd want to drink that much too.
Even Moscow ?
Isn't that only like a shot per day? (Almost exactly, if my math is right.) Seems like a healthy amount to me, at least if everyone is clustered around the average...
*Especially* Moscow, but *especially* the rest of Russia too.
I have no ide what "pure" alcohol means after reading the article. It could be 100% but that's only a couple drinks per day.
Although given media's proclivity for hyperbole I'm guessing they just mean normal vodka by "pure."
Alcohol is seriously not that tasty.
Come on America, step it up. We have to beat the Russians. *chugs bottle of vodka*
That's really not a whole lot. That's a liter about every 3 weeks. Or two liters of 100 proof every 20 days. That's 100 mL a day or about 3 drinks worth.
Ya but you gotta figure if you miss a day or two here or there, to keep the yearly average up, you still have to drink a lot in the long run.
And this is also a national average, meaning the people who do drink have to make up for those that drink very little or none at all.
