What he did to Loki was so frickin hilarious...I just about died laughing.
. Hulk kinda stole the show.

I saw it at IMAX at 10PM last night. Theater was packed! And thats a $17 ticket, and there were 8 in our group. Had to wait in line an hour to get glasses, then another 20 min for the movie to start. 2 other lines for the other showings where full. I think I'm going to see it again (non 3D) during the week, as I think I missed a lot "looking for 3D". This should smash all the box office records. Fairly entertaining, and actually met expectations.

I thought it's interesting, because my local theater has actually been dropping some of the 3D showtimes for The Avengers. I guess it might make sense since the 6:20 2D showing is probably 30% full right now, but the 7:00 3D showing is maybe only 10% full. (The theater has assigned seating, so I can look at the layout)

The avengers has been universally agreed that it is a very good movie

I thought it was just another run of the mill comic book movie too. They are milking this so hard but it was really no better than a transformers movie or any big budget explosion fest

avengers was so predictable and the acting was average just like every other superhero movie. i give it 3/10.

What was the last movie that wasn't predictable?

The dialogue was done well for an action movie. The action sequences were done extremely well. If you went in expecting something other than that, you went to the wrong movie.

I know! Well, except for the acting. And writing. And dialogue. And characters. And pacing.

But yeah, this was *just* like a typically Michael Bay movie. I bet Battleship rakes in over $9000B when it opens!

Battleship is an even worse movie. It has grossed 200 million worldwide and hasn't opened in America yet. I would not be shocked if battleship clears a half billion. Just shows people will watch anything

Michael bay movies gross a ton too doesn't make them great. I didn't say avengers was not entertaining but its no better than Thor, iron man 1/2 , cap America etc. I don't get the hype about all these comic book origin films having great stories or something. Its a good popcorn film but this isn't anything original like say inception

Thor, Captain America and Iron Man 2 were brainless. Avengers is different due to an extremely skilled writer/director. There's quite a few things Avengers didn't succeed at, but I figure it has more to do with the studio heads.

i'm just saying the movie didn't live up to the hype for me. i'm glad it did for you.

A film that didn't live up to the hype is "meh it was good, but not as good as it was hyped up to be: 6/10" you gave It 3/10 thats not just not living up to the hype that's a shit film.

Saw it last night with the fam. Absolutely loved it! One of the better, more entertaining movies I've seen in a long time.

I find it funny that so many people will complain about it though. Were people seriously expecting this to win best picture/best actor or something? It was a comic book movie, well written, well directed, well acted, but it's still a comic book movie that was made to cater to a huge demographic.

A+++ 10/10 5/5 etc.!

given the hype behind it, yeah... I was expecting something significantly above and beyond yet another generic big-budget action flick.

I enjoyed it, but it didn't come anywhere close to meeting the expectations set by hearing about people loving it, going to see it multiple times, etc.

Keep in mind many people are on the internet because they are socially anxious (sociopathic). Most sociopaths wouldn't have "gotten" the dialogue in Avengers aside from the action. Hipsters also wouldn't have gotten it but for entirely different reasons.

Saw it this past Saturday.

Every showing was sold out, thankfully I bought tickets ahead of time and got there early enough to be 1st in line (with my wife).

Was a very fun and entertaining movie.

I figured I'd like it but wound up really enjoying it more than I would of thought I would.

Some of the unexpected humor really was great and overall was just an enjoyable and fun movie and gave me a reminder of why paying so much to go to the movies CAN be worth it, though so often is not.

Just saw it last night. Was the only movie in recent memory where I actually found myself laughing out loud or on the verge of cheering at certain points.

Best picture? mmmm, no. Awesome movie? Absolutely.

I saw it Sunday (4th attempt at seeing it, sold out the 1st 3 times, finally went the Fandango route). I loved it. It wasn't deep or anything, but I didn't expect it to be. I was extremely entertained, and it was everything I want in a fun summer movie.

I wish they would make a Hulk movie with this Hulk, as compared to the Hulks in the 1st two movies.

"Clinch up." LOL Had to explain that one to the 11 year old but he got most of the rest.

What did Hulk say after he smacked Loki around?

Good, imo.
