How about get off ATOT, go outside and get some sun to darken the pasty geek complexion?

Umm, already got a tan, thanks.

Edit: oh, ok, sorry 😉

First of all, going into debt (credit card I assume) so you can have a nice wardrobe is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

By following all of these suggestions, you're just going to look like every other frat-boy type out there. You call it being "in-style," I call you clones. You might like to be a posterboy for Express Men, A&F, etc, but I've found I can dress pretty well without spending $50 on a t-shirt. Department stores are great. This past week, I got a Lands End polo at Sears for $7, a short-sleeved button-down Calvin Klein shirt at Bon Ton for $16, a similar Nautica shirt for $16, and a nice polo shirt at Strawbridge's for $15. Kohl's is good if you'd rather spend <$30 on a pair of Dockers than $60 on a pair of pants at Express Men or A&F. Macy's is good too. Who cares if it's where your parents/grandparents shop, they have good clothes at some great deals.

Why are you guys so against dressing nice? It is because you're jealous that you can't pull the style off right?:disgust:

ummm NO

now why should we all dress this way? I dont want to look preppy or like a frat boy, if i had to dress liek that id probibily kill myself

Dressing nice is not synonymous with dressing preppy, you can go to Express and get professional-looking clothing for work, church, etc...

Did you read my post? I said one of the best outfits I have is a plain black t-shirt, a pair of flared jeans, and a pair of $35 Sketchers...

I feel most comfortable in a pair of loose-fitting jeans and a button up or polo. I think it looks nice, not too dressy but not punk skater or abercrombie fashion white boy wannabe, and isn't that too expensive. Most guys don't know how to dress, but then again guys aren't expected to know how. You either know what looks good on you or you don't. If you do, then most of the time (at least around your teenage age) it can be a big plus.

only time I dress frat-boyis, etc was when I was single. Now that I've been with my gf for over 2 years, jeans and a t-shirt/hoodie/pull-over are all I wear=]

I do dress nice when attending events and stuff😛

to each his own.

flared jeans look like crap, the colored ones are even worse, thoes yellow tinted ones i see girls wearing make me wanna puke, tight 30$ black shirts from the express are pointless, a plain white undershirt from walmart and a bowling tshirt from salvo works much better, and sketchers are too damn white

wow...that's a lot...I still got some Structure socks when I got them for free (free coupons that Structure sends out in the mail). With that gone, I'll just have to shop the clearance rack @ GAP?

and so you know, you have spent more money on clothes in 1 store in the past 4 months or so then i have spent on clothes in the past 2 years,

hell i still have t-shirts that fit and i wear that ive had sence i was in middle school

i had to replace my sneekers 2 months ago because the 4 yera old adidias ones i had epoxyed back together compleatly fell apart,

While dressing good is a plus, its not a plus to spend every paycheck on a closet full of name branded clothes.

I'll bet I can dress just as good if not better than you JohnCU and spend tons less than what you are. Brands mean nothing to me. YOu won't see me paying 20 bucks for a AF t-shirt, you'll see me on the bargain racks at gap. I've never bought anything from AF and never will. Their prices are rediculously high, along with tons of other brand name stores. Old Navy gets more money from me than AE or AF.

If you have the money to waste on clothes, then more power to you but for me....

bargain racks>all
