An entire loaf of french bread, suffed with donughts, wrapped in fruit roll ups?
So, you are saying that the people at your work who are doing the Atkins plan to lose weight don't understand that Atkins isn't THE ONLY WAY of becoming/staying fit and have predicted "utter physical ruin" if you follow any other plan?Originally posted by: Geekbabe

It's more like what I'm wearing and the fact that despite dire predictions of utter physical ruin, eating complex carbs early in the day as part of a sensible diet has not slowed my progress in getting fit and trim![]()

In one of Atkins' books ("Atkins for Life") he gives lists of suggested menus at different carb levels. One of the breakfast items is oatmeal (complex carb).
I personally eat 1/2 cup of oatmeal with 1/2 cup soy milk and 1 kiwi plus 1/2 cup of plain whole-fat yogurt for breakfast. I'm at my desired weight though so I'm not suggesting that my diet is best for everyone. Plus, I do 30 minutes of cardio everyday.
Anyway, you may want to point your adversaries to this book.
What's the deal with you and your colleagues? Is this kind of catty behavior a woman thing?

You can be thin yet have high body fat (and a poor lipid panel, etc.).

Odd... I actually have more energy... And no more energy swings. (i.e. I no longer get tired in the afternoon after lunch.)Originally posted by: godspeedx
The Atkin's Diet will get you thin, but not healthy.
You'll start to lose a lot of energy.

my body fat is getting lower by the week and I'm in the gym at least 4 times(usually 5 times) per week
and I exercise hard! My diet is also very clean.I have an eagle eyed boyfriend who notices everything
trust me,the habits here are healthy ones.
