I went into kara in full blues, and had 80% of the rogue gear in 1 month (even the bow from prince since the hunter was an alt and passed to me). 3rd gruul run got the DST, 3 TW kill got the talon, 1st Anetheron got the blade of infamy. 1st Hydross kill got the shoulders, 4th kill got me the ring. Also got the warp spring coil on the 4th VR kill....

now that I think about it... its going to catch up to me soon.

The mage spec of choice now is 2/47/11 +1, icy veins is a great cooldown to have on demand when you're bloodlusted or a boss is <20%.

I agreed with that until they removed the ability to stack IV+BL. Used to love having both of them going when molten fury kicked in, but unfortunately that doesn't work anymore. Also, the 2/47/11+1 spec ups the hit cap for arc exp and poly- I don't like how much itemization I have to lose for that 🙁 For short fights I still like 2/47/11+1 better, but for longer fights the extra mana from 10/48/3 ends up giving me more dps- particularly when I end up with a Boomkin in party(which I normally get more often then a shad priest).

If I had to choose a complaint with mage t6, it wouldn't be the spirit, it would be the crit. Haste would be much preferable, but unfortunately t6 was itemized before they "fixed" us by making ZA a cloth haste piñata >.>

Crit at least does us some good, spirit gives us nothing. What if we had our itemization from spirit spent on haste and kept the crit? Mainly I lament the spirit as destro locks aren't saddled with it blowing their item budget, turn spirit into almost anything else and it would increase our overall dps(well, maybe not stam or agi, but anything else 😉 ).

Still, the more t6 I get, the less of a gap there is between myself playing at 110% and semi-afk destruction warlocks, so I guess things are working out. It's probably fireball's 115% talented coefficient coming into play as my spellpower climbs higher and higher.

Hehe, there in lies the problem IMO. A lot of this could be solved by fixing the itemization for our gear, we HAVE to play far better then a destro lock in order to remain competitive.

BL stacks with IV. They were going to remove this but repealed it last minute. I believe there's a stacking issue with the skull of gul'dan, but I'm not lucky enough to know >.>

There are very few encounters where capped arcane hit is helpful, and even then it isn't strictly necessary. The typical deep fire builds all have an "extra" point, mine is in arcane focus, bringing me to just 1% shy of the arcane hit cap, provided I'm at 164 hit (currently 163 if I recall). If strictly necessary I could dig through my bags and fully cap it, but I do fine with around 100 hit for HKM (my guild still drags us there for DSTs), I tank the illidari council mage so my hit there doesn't matter; I'm just backup in case a hit-cap mage gets resisted on a heal, and about the only other 73s I can think of where it's an issue are AoEing kael's weapons - but nobody does kael anymore :

I'm not disagreeing with you about spirit, but the devs' love for warlocks is as old as the game itself, I'm used to it and not losing any sleep over it. While it could be better, t6 mage is still very good, and is helping with some of the issues I'd had in tailored gear (namely survivability, but also mana - the 2pc is especially nice for that). And I actually prefer to have to think about how to dps, it makes it much more engaging and gives me room for improvement. One of my guild's warlocks went fire destro out of sheer boredom, and a few others quit citing RL, but I have a feeling pressing "1" over and over for 4 hours played a part in it as well.

I've pretty much stopped PvPing though, dueling for epics isn't something I'm willing to do, yet you can't keep up in battlegrounds if you don't, and nobody really cares about battlegrounds anymore anyway, so that part of the game is dead for me.

I wanted to see tier 6 though, so I started raiding again a few months back.

well twins is an interesting fight, i like having almost 19k HP fully buffed as a warlock tank LOL, made good progress last night, once people figured out how to stand on the ledge and not fall off it and agro the twins

i think we wiped more times to people failing at that then we did real attempts

We're still in P1, have yet to see p2.
We swapped some things around last night but we're still having breakdowns on various aspects not allowing us to sustain an attempt.

Bah we are still on kalecgos, after all this time too. Our guild leader decided that people were not paying attention and really trying hard (after one night of attempts with no progress made) and decided not to do SP until the guild could clear bt/hyjal 3 weeks in a row with no excessive wipes or screw ups.

prob for the best, sunwell is pretty damn unforgiving.... i really hate conflag, we really should have had Twins down last night, everything was going perfect just about to go form P1-P2 and WAM 2/3 of the raid is dead because someone didnt move :/

tanking it is fun tho, running in circles spamming searing pain

its pretty sad that the new badge Bow is the hands down best bow for BM hunters, better then illidans bow by a ton

True it is a little odd that the bow is better than Illidan's. At the same time I do not get all of the whining about badge gear, especially from Nihilum and their ilk. The gear isn't aimed at casuals per se, it's aimed at giving people and guilds that want to raid seriously a chance to get caught up without having to raid the lower tiers for months on end. Yes, it helps the casual, but in the end they really aren't going to get into serious raiding anyway. What it does help however, is the person that isn't geared, but wants to get geared and raid but couldn't without the help that badge gear and no attunements provides.

Let's face it, most raiding guilds nowadays will not bother to gear someone up no matter how skilled they are or how much raiding experience they have. I know this since I raided in Death and Taxes, including all their world firsts, right up until Kel'thuzad in Naxxramas and, after coming back after a 1.5 year break to play with friends on another server, finding a raiding guild, without the badge gear to help me, would have been quite difficult.

So i'm thinking about getting back into WoW...
I have a 70 warrior on Wildhammer (PVP) but even after 5 months off the thought of tanking with him again doesn't appeal whatsoever!
That said, can I get some recommendations for a class to start? Who's needed, which are fun (in your opinion of course).

I'd play on PvP server, potentially a different one which leads me to my next question: can anyone tell me which are the newest pvp servers out there?

RESTO SHAMANS, everyone wants more of them, especially on Ali

IIRC Agamaggan and Nazjatar are 2 of the newest PvP servers

I think I need some advice on Gurtogg Bloodboil. We are not farming him yet and have only killed him twice. We seem to be getting him down and it is only a matter of time before he is mastered. However, I have yet to survive Fel Rage and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong and what the best thing should be for me to do. For those who are not already aware, I am a resto druid with no talent points in healing touch so that spell takes me 3.5 seconds to cast.

This is my current routine when I get Fel Rage:

1. Start stacking LB and use a Rejuv + Swiftmend almost right away.
2. Use Barkskin (Lasts 12 seconds with a 60 sec CD) and spam regrowth while trying to keep the LB stack.
3. Swiftmend whenever the CD is up (15 sec).
4. Use NS + Regrowth when my health goes below 50%.
5. Use a healthstone if it goes below 50% again.

The only other option I am considering is to try to spam Healing Touch on myself despite the casting delays along with using Barkskin, Swiftmend, NS, and Healthstones. However, that means I wouldn't be able to maintain a stack of HoTs and Barkskin only lasts me 12 seconds while Fel Rage is 30 seconds.

I am trying to figure out which method is best.

barskin + bear from + let everyone else heal you is the easiest option for you if you arnt getting healed through it in tree form

Is this what the resto druids in your guild do? If so, do they wear any bear gear for the fight? I always assumed that going bear was a bad idea because even though I get some increased armor and health it just a drop in the bucket compared to the Fel Rage buff and Gurtogg's damage output. This would not be the case if I was in bear gear because then I would be able to mitigate the damage but in healing gear it doesn't do shit and it is extremely important that I stack as much +healing as possible in this fight.

they dont if we have everyone alive, the will do it if they have a BB dot on them or if another healer is doen

if you are beating the enrage by alot you could just bring another healer and it would most likely become a non issue

Any advice for the 3rd boss in Hyjal. We did 1 attempt (was late), but the waves were all screwed up. The werent running up to us in time, and all spread out. Whats the strat on that?

SSC+TK tonight (Fathonlord and A'lar for the AR neck) - how important is that necklace for a rogue? Do i need it for Hyjal at all?

you mean SR neck i think. and SR is important for EVERYONE if you plan on doing Mother shaz

and what do you mean by not running to you in time, were you tanking/killing them by the gate?

you also have to GO GET the gargoyls they dont come to you when they spawn in the back

yeah... man im tired....

so we fought near the group of hourde at the wooden spikes. The 1st wave got to us fine... 2nd wave seemed small. but the 3-6th were either taking their time coming to us. Maybe it was just because we werent killing the waves fast enough.
