Is anybody able to play this evening? I try to join a server and it says connection to the server has been lost. I have tried several different servers.

My internet is working fine. I did not have any trouble logging in either.

On a different note, is there a way to view the different dogtags that you have received?

I had this problem over the weekend. Haven't tried to play since. I figured this had been fixed already. I'll try again later tonight.

By the way, memoryram - some of the colors in your sig are hard to read.

Yeah I realize that. I just haven't changed it yet.

To repair mid-air you need to point your repair tool at the chopper, but the real trick is that the chopper has to have relatively little horizontal motion (i.e. be hovering). Otherwise the hit-box lags behind the chopper and you can't reach it.

Thought I'd share this video, I'm "[ls.] x.T." the pilot, he's "[ls.] Ravic" the gunner- check out his videos

http://www.youtube.com/user/blackmesatech#p/u/16/3eeibRDU1fw

I was able to repair mid-flight in BC2 in the Huey by pointing as far as I could sideways (I want to say towards the front of the helicopter). We still got rocked by something big and exploded...ahwell. :p

I was playing the other night and hit someone with the SAIGA quite a few times..probably 4-6. He promptly killed me and kept runing around..the kill cam showed him at 0% health. Has anyone else ran into that, and WTF is the deal?

Fired up the game this past weekend for the first time in like 4 months.

Very depressed. I was "that" guy that loaded up with C4 on Rush maps and laid waste to the MCOMs. When the heck did they nerf C4 damage on them? It was my one joy in playing this game. Mehhh.

A single, clever player could too easily destroy an MCOM on their own.

Heck, I'd do it all the time, I'd load up a jeep or ATV with 6 C4, reload, launch the vehicle into one, blow it, then throw down 6 more C4 and blow those and effectively destroy the MCOM all by myself in one run. It was just too easy.

by beefing up MCOM health it now takes roughly the same amount of effort and teamwork to destroy directly as it does to arm it

I was able to start playing again. I don't know what happened.

I just ran into my first experience with a cheater. He was killing me and everybody else with an M9 pistol at very long distances. He had like 85 kills and only 3 deaths. He eventually got kicked.

Another question, if I push the talk to team button, can the other side see what I type?

I was joined a round where there were just a few people playing so I could practice using different weapons. Couple of the guys got talking and one asked how you get to rank 50. The other guy said 250 hours of playing and a 2.5 K/D ratio. Why do you have to have a 2.5 K/D ratio? I thought that didn't matter as long as you keep earning points.

No the enemy cant see when you teamtalk, itll say [team] next to what you type.

You dont need any of that for rank 50 you just need EXP, he was likely just bragging about his K/D ratio. You can get there with a 0.1 K/D ratio and 1000 hours, all that matters is EXP.

Health from 0.01% to 0.49% displays as 0%? That's a guess on the exact numbers, but that is the approximate situation. Saw this tweeted by gameplay designer Demize99.

the only thing you need to rank up is points

kills are certainly a good way to score points (at least 50 points per kill, more if you get a head shot and/or kill someone near a contested objective and/or kill someone who has been shooting at and hitting a teammate, etc)

however some of the easiest ways to get points is to play a true medic where you try and get revives and heals on teammates (you get 50 points per regular revive and even 80 points if its a squad mate revive) and of course 10 points for every heal (you can get several heal bonuses before the player is completely healed up)

and of course repairing vehicles as an engineer get get you a ton of points as well (again, even more if its your own squad controlling the vehicle)

I've seen situations with my friends where we'd try and do goofy stuff like play medic but refuse to attack the enemy at all, and we've actually been able get someone the ace pin with some ridiculous KDRs of around 0-20 but have nearly 10K points strictly on revives and heals.

I figured points was the only thing you need.

Don't forget avenger kills as well, that is another 50 points.

So if you are killed and someone revives you, that still counts as a kill?

Yes, I've seen that a number of times. It simply a freak occurrence when the persons health percentage manages to drop below 1% but just not enough to kill him.

Yes, it also still counts as a death for you.

Yes, if you get killed and revived, it counts as a kill for whomever got the kill and it counts as a death for you, both the killer and reviving medic will score at least 50 points each.

Can't join a server here either in Japan. And they look sparsley populated despite rush hour. Must be something down?

This happened to me last night. If you ever have issues finding/ joining servers, be sure to restart the game and try again.

all weekend i had to exit and restart bc2 multiple times, even when servers showed up and i tried to join them, kept saying your connection has been reset.

also is everyone having problems where all your classes kits are defaulted to the starter gun and no perks? wtf it's been like this for me for months now

oh that sucks,

also is there a server side mod where you ONLY can have starter guns? or is that a server issue?

Do your own medpacks heal you? Ive been throwing medipacks down when i attack flags solo, it helps anyone who spawns to help me but do they actually heal me at all?

I don't see why not. Your own ammo packs resupply you so I would think medipacks would be the same way.

Absolutely they do. Which is why it was so absurd when the m60 was so powerful. Medics were basically a life giving destroyer of all other infantry.

Why is it that when i get revived i sometimes end up with someone elses kit? Is this a feature or something? Does the game detect when you are an M60 whore and just switch kits to get you out of the habit or what...

BF2 did this and it came out 5 years ago lol.

when you die, you drop your kit. if someone else that is not a medic picks up your kit then revives you, you end up with the kit they had prior to picking up your medic one.
