patch is already out. check steam.
the maps are in the patch that came out today.
tomorrow, they will release the map codes for servers to put them in the rotation.

SPECACT kit is fun for the re-skinned weapons and a chance to earn some more medals since I'm just about all platinumed out, but it offers a legitimate advantage not in the weapons, but in the skins - the SPECACT medic no longer has that blaring target of a red hat when you're on the Russian side 😀

granted, some of them are easier to see in brighter/snow levels because the unis are darker and thus have more contrast with the environment and stand out, however you can select which class you want to play so a player could potentially pick the unis that go best for the map.

Man I wish I could play this game for more than 5 minutes without being kicked to desktop with no error of any kind.

Is voice fixed?

I'm definitely not buying anymore BF games until voice is fixed. It almost ruins the game for me sometimes. I really miss that social aspect of BF2.

it works if servers have it enabled, a lot of them dont. sometimes i'll hear people talking when i play..sometimes i wont.

Not sure if it's for everyone, on our servers, only the Conquest Maps are currently available right now. Still waiting for the Rush Maps to be enabled. fwiw - we use branzone as our server host.

Haven't had a chance to jump in but so far, lots of positive comments from players about the new maps.

Update - Rush Servers now have the new maps!

Update your punkbuster.

I wish it were so easy, but it is fully updated.. Googling BFBC2 CTD brings up a ton of results. It seems it's not a hardware problem as people have tried everything and it happens to both AMD and Nvidia cards.

One suggestion I have found is that it does not like 64bit Windows.. So I'll install 32bit as another boot option and see how that goes.

I can turn all my graphical settings on Low and it does not seem to crash at all, but it just looks awful and just not acceptable for a GTX480!

Are you using the latest video drivers? I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with no issues.
