Wait so the in game voice hasn't been working? No wonder why every time I talk on the mic telling tanks and helicopters to wait they always leave me.
 
It would be great if they made the amphibious vehicles much, much more lethal and the weapons easy to use. They are almost entirely useless for getting kills.

The problem here is that the grenade launchers on the gunboats are already pretty devastating, and clever players have figured out where they can hide the boats relatively well enough that they can rain fire down on the MCOMs on maps like Laguna Presa and Isla Innocentes. The problem here is that such tactics only work on the first set of points and that the hiding spots still are vulnerable to equally clever players such as myself who take advantage of such easy kills. The boats are just make too easy of a target, just about as close to the analogy of a sitting duck as you can get.

Although a machine gun instead of the grenade launcher for one or both of the turrets would definitely be nice.

to get my naval warfare pin I used the M24 from the back of a jetski

awesome tip, but again I just hate the boats for how much of an easy target they are. The gun boats in particular would be much nicer if they held up better against small arms fire.

I suppose it won't be too hard to suck it up and get the few extra kills I need to get bronze (only need one or two) that way.

lol at the horn. i slam it constantly in the 4wd vehicles, mostly out of frustration of not having a gun. i always felt guilty thinking i was drawing attention to myself, but could not resist

For the road kill I just jumped into a jeep with engie and the armor perks. The jeeps are easily the fastest vehicles in the game and while they make easier targets for tanks and machine guns, they'll still keep you alive moreso than the ATVs because you're much harder to be shot to death with small arms fire. Then there's also the fact that their wider fronts make for a much easier time running someone down than when in an ATV. So yeah, I just basically jumped in a jeep and was content to just floor it, racing around and looking for kills, driving like the game was Carmageddon and not BC2. It might be cheap, but driving around the enemy spawn on a map like Arica Harbor Conquest might be your best bet. Otherwise the flag areas are ideal, although far more prone to having tank mines.

Car warfare is 3 kills in one round with cars, so you'd get that at the same time as the road kill one, although you could always just park the jeep somewhere and use the machine gun turret to get that one, but I wouldn't bother as like I said, you'll get both at once if you go for the roadkills in a jeep or something.

As far as the flag defense goes, I'm not sure on this, but I think the flag needs to be in the process of being contested and you need to basically fend the attack off and win it back. If you're just sitting on the flag, heavily entrenched with a bunch of your teammates, the flag might not be contested at all.

Basically how the flags work is that the more players a team has around the flag (and the close those players are to it), the faster they'll capture it. If team A is defending the flag and has ~4 guys around it, and team B attacks with just 2 guys, chances are the flag won't be contested and lowered at all. But if team B brings 6 guys then the flag will start lowering and team A will have to kill enough players to regain superior numbers and retake the flag.

So the best way to do that one would probably be to try and camp out at the least defended flag your team has captured and wait until the enemy comes and starts to capture it, then jump out of hiding and kill the attackers.

its kinda puzzling that they know about all these issues and they haven't bothered fixing them in the 4 months since it was released. i shouldn't be getting stuck in trees playing fps, especially some AAA title.
 
I did have the knife bug yesterday, but just once, second knifing attempt on said camper took care of him

Was playing last night and saw two guys incoming on an ATV. I thought for sure it was an easy double kill because I had my CG and explo perk ready. Hit the driver in the face with the CG, got a head shot, and the ATV barreled past me. Now, I assumed I had killed both because it was a rocket hitting them, but nope; the passenger then sprayed me with his M60 like nothing happened.

I guess I should just keep aiming for the ATV and getting the vehicle destruction points as well.
 
definately, he might have gotten lucky and hopped off the ATV at the last second saving him some damage too


really annoyed about the new onslaught news.
 
Ran into yet another aimbotter or at least I think it was. Using the 1911A1. So obvious he was cheating but it took two rounds to get him kicked.

For the love of pete...happened again tonight. I'm officially an aimbot magnet 🙁 On Arica Harbor Rush. Literally across the map, with a 12X zoom I could barely make him out. Thank GOD he was kicked after only about 5 minutes of bullshit.

I find it so difficult to get road kills in this game compared to BF2. It's hard enough just to get past the CGs and MGs that even when I do get the rare occasion to run over someone I'm left clueless why I didn't run over the guy I clearly thought I had run over. Plus the jungle maps that I love for Rush aren't exactly road kill friendly.

Compare that to BF2 where you could pile up road kills with ease. My favorites were Warlord and Ghost Town maps using the FAV and pickup trucks. You could drive around in circles in certain alley ways and pile up some major kills.

Yea it's one thing I really hate about this game. I think in all the games I've played I heard about 3 people actually talk in game.
 
got the roadkill badge and carnage or whatever.

laguna presa rush I think, the dam busting one.

got my water vehicle bronze star with the RPG from the back of the jetski 😀

and one roadkill with it, rest with a humvee

knife bug is still there, just less persistent

had it happen twice in a row which got me shot in the face

I feel like I am getting stuck on odd parts of terrain and in windows more than usual now
 
anyone notice worse hitreg lag? i've been using shotties a lot recently and in a lot of servers there's a long delay for my shots to register hits it seems. maybe it's more of a shottie issue?

No I've had this issue but with the RPG/CG(and to lesser extent the shotties) where I fire that see the rocket flying away then I die...but it never registers that I fired said rocket cuz it doesnt kill the other player when it obviously should.
 
now i am not having many issues w/ voip, is it server centric? it actually is very clear when working but i can't figure out why it only works sometimes even on the same server. i understand it is only the people in your squad, but even then sometimes it is not working when the game before it did. erratic at best...

Your own mid-air rockets disappear when you die, it's not a hit reg issue. I don't know about other types of projectiles.

I had an incident the other day where I tracered a chopper, then got a lock and launched a CG, but, the chopper pilot (or gunner) killed me, saving their own skins!
