Your own mid-air rockets disappear when you die, it's not a hit reg issue. I don't know about other types of projectiles.

I had an incident the other day where I tracered a chopper, then got a lock and launched a CG, but, the chopper pilot (or gunner) killed me, saving their own skins!

No offense to you obviously, but every offense to DICE thats bullshit. I'd like to see that fixed.

i have shot people before during a sniper battle, i shot, died by the other sniper and then saw a notice that he died by my shot after my death, so maybe must missile disappear and not bullets because they are traveling so much faster?

it depends when you get killed. there's a cut off time for your projectiles/explosives becoming a dud. because of the lag/latency, you think you fired it but to the server you already died. this has been the case in previous BF games too.

I'm pretty sure that was not the case in my example. I'm sure I fired. I was casually standing there watching my CG rocket looping around to chase the chopper when I was unexpectedly taken out it. We're not talking micro seconds here.

So how do you guys join friends if the friends list is messed up? I'd like to play with you guys.

send out more friend requests till they add you, because you never know if they got there

either my freinds list self deleted someone or someone deleted their soldier cuz I went down to 8 from 9...

You must have had MrMatt on your list. LOL!

ROFL

turned out MedicBob dissappeared

and he wasnt the first, lost jschmuck2 as well. def something that needs fixed, since its way more fun to play with people you know

Jeez...I deleted my character a few weeks ago, yet I log in today, go to use the same soldier name, hoping I could have a fresh start...and nope. Don't they ever delete soldier names??

Next time you are looking, this link is in the OP. Twice.

😱

da-oops

On a completely unrelated subject, any particular reason why you deviated from the naming convention of your computers? There's also Fahrenheit and Rankine.

chill was my first named PC

Rankine is my router 😀

fahrenheit....ugh, too long ^_^

kelvin used to be numb, but I gave numb to my parents way back when

when my wife is due I may change it to farhrenheit since I never have to type her pc name ever

i forgot to mention, I have seen some lag issues

a few MW2 style deaths where I get around a corner while being shot, but then magically go back 3 steps and die out in the open

What would be considered a good K : D ratio for this game?

Well, if you sit up on a hill and play wookie all day long, your K/D ratio better be 3 or more. If on the other hand, you are constantly on the front lines, pushing for the objectives, less than one is fine. Less than .75 could be a problem, though.

THIS!

I am at 1.83. Level 17, 1200 kills, only use my M1A1 =)

OMG THIS SO BAD.

And yet my ping was less than 70.

Also on certain rush maps, they need to make it easier for the defenders to take out vehicles, or change sightlines especially say Isla Innocentes, where a decent Bradley can sit back and spam the M-COMs on the second set and actually destroy them, without ever being destroyed. My entire squad on engineers couldn't even get close and we tried multiple times. To me it was fairly lame and cheap. They never even attacked the M-com on foot. They all hung back and protected the Bradley/sniped.

Do you have the issue where your Helicopter and UAV nose-up/down joystick controls are inverted? Nose down in the chopper is nose up when flying the UAV? I have had to resort to using keyboard controls when using the UAV. (and accidentally stepping out of the UAV alot! It blows up!)

I just noticed a fix for this listed in the OP of the BFBC2 thread over at Penny Arcade. Search for "UAV Controls Un-Invert".

I haven't had a chance to test it out yet. Let us know if it works out for you!

I dont use the UAV or helo's much. I should get back into helos with the tracer harder to hit.

I sucks at the aerial combat though, but can handle the blackhawk pretty well

yeah I was on a server that in the browser was sub 30 ping.

I had the same thing happen. oddly enough we barely didnt stop them at one, got TROUNCED at 2, and stuffed them and won at 3. I got a bunch of mine kills that round, I saw what they were doing and knew we couldnt stop it. so i mined the HELL out of the road out of the little town, and once they got it continued on that then went recon and mortared teh piss out of the place he was trying to hide the bradley to do the same thing on 3.

that along with a competent helo made it easy as I had less to worry about with the hind overhead pestering their recon and rocket guys

I don't mean to offend anyone, but if you are playing for your K/D ratio, COD is the game for you. The Battlefield series is about winning the round. Unfortunately, even after so many BF games, DICE has yet to implement an adequate incentive to win. Players on the winning team get a measly 200 point bonus. 🙄
