I don't know which version to get. My PC:

C2Q Q8200 2.33GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
512MB GeForce 9800GT

Is this enough to max out the game? I have a choice between the PS3 version and the PC version. So far, I'm really digging the PS3 demo.

I also suck at PC first person shooters; I generally get raped in CS: S, BF2, etc.

I am not an expert on all of Intel's numbers either, but I did see a clue in there...

heh you can 1 shot trees down with a M24 or SV98 sniper rifle

been testing other stuff too. gravity doesn't seem to be affecting the tracer dart. on the sniper hill, I can hit the MG or AT emplacement with no adjustment needed. bullets also do not necessarily go where your reticle / iron sight / red dot is at the longer you hold on to the trigger. this is very apparent with a LMG while firing at a wall. if you fire in short 2-3 round bursts, you'll be able to create a tight bullet hit decal, but it'll get less tight and more random as the bullet burst increases. repeatedly tapping the fire button doesn't seem to adversely affect aim as long as it's in short 2-3 round bursts.

Saiga also seems to be vastly superior to the shotgun. it's bullet decals are a lot more fearsome than the shotgun's at least. fires faster and greater ammo capacity too.

I'm guessing we still have cheesy endless medic revive bs? Are there at least some ways to kill someone that they can't be revived, like AT direct to infantry's bodies BF2 usually results in an unrevivable kill?

I haven't noticed a way to kill someone that makes them unrevivable yet.

I find Engineer easier to get points as you can hide behind a tank or APC and be out of harms way and just continue healing it. Even better if a squad member is driving it.

Yea besides any squad I join never uses or has mics. Pisses me off because its hard to get anything done without teamwork in this game!

Yeah it is weird how quiet the squads are. I was wondering why that is.

Honestly, this is about the only thing that's kept me from spending more time in the beta & actually pre-ordering the game so far. NO ONE talks, on any server I've been on, which is a 180-degree departure from what I experienced in BF2142 (my fave MP shooter ever, way more than MW1, never bought MW2). Well, that and the degree that the gameplay seems to have been... adjusted... slightly but measurably from what I loved in BF2142 and what I wasn't that big a fan of in MW1. All it'll take is a few good rounds with the same four guys all talking and kicking ass, and I'll plunk down my $50 in a heartbeat. Haven't had that experience yet, and it ain't for lack of trying - I join each squad, one by one, in every server I play in and try to talk.

They say the code on the consoles are newer, and I really hope thats true. PC does not feel as good as the consoles on this one. DICE got the thumbstick controls down on this game compared to shitty MW2.. All the PC has is that it just looks better. Other than that, the game is just funner on console at this point.

I haven't played either the 360 or PS3, but based off some screenshots I've seen of console players achieving high scores, I'm guessing the console version either has larger hitboxes or lots of help via auto aim or both. I also believe the PS3 and PC are beta while the 360 version is a demo. a very important distinction.
