You sold you PS3 copy of BFBC2, right? Do you still have a copy for the PC?
this things happen a lot -.-Going back to that, after playing the 480p vs the 720p console version, i can't help t notice how the higher resolution has horrible edges
Thank you for all your kind words! We have put a lot of work into these maps and we are sure the Community will love them!
There have been many questions regarding the new Map Pack and I'll try to answer some of them right here:
1. Will the maps have similar gameplay features as in BC1 (MEC, Artillery)?
- Unfortunately they will not. The maps have been made with the idea and vision of Bad Company 2. The maps have been suited to fit the vision, gameplay and scope of Bad Company 2.
2. Do you have a release date ready for us?
- I do not have a release date for you yet. I'm however working on to get a release date out for you guys. The whole idea of Map Pack 7 was to announce that "Hey guys, we are working on this". This does not necessarily mean that we will give an ETA, but we will post an ETA when we are 100% sure of a date.
3. Why not Cold war CQ and Heavy Metal Rush?
- The specific thought was to make Conquest even more vehicle packed than Atacama Desert with an emphasis on brutal clashes between tanks. With four helicopters in the sky and 8 tanks on the ground, we wanted to bring vehicular warfare to a completely new level in BC2.
Heavy Metal Rush didn't really fit into our vision, the same as Cold War CQ.
4. Why did you choose Oasis and Harvest Day? There were plenty of other maps to choose from!
- We decided to go with these after taking a look at the Facebook poll posted some months ago. We also listened to a lot of voices from the Community specifically wanting Oasis and Harvest Day. The maps also differ quite well from eachother.
The maps are going to be as you remember them from BC1. Wether there are bottlenecks or not is what I have experienced from my years as a gamer, very individual.
We have polished the maps, improved the lighting and applied BC2-graphics to the different maps. We haven't changed the whole concept of the map so to say.
VIP Map Pack 7: This is Heavy Metal

Welcome to the second post in our series on the upcoming VIP Map Pack 7. Today, we revisit the single player map Heavy Metal -- now turned into one of the largest multiplayer maps for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
For VIP Map Pack 7, we always knew we wanted the classics Oasis and Harvest Day. But we also know that our players love huge battlefields with plenty of vehicles. So we went back to the singleplayer campaign in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to see what we could take from there and transform into new multiplayer maps. We wanted a level that could incorporate both vehicle warfare and close quarters battle. We found that in Heavy Metal.

Heavy Metal features both attack and transport helicopters.
The multiplayer game mode of choice on this remastered version of Heavy Metal is Conquest, with the classic three flag setup. The three flags are spread over the entire terrain. This seemed like a crazy idea at first -- this map is even bigger than Atacama Desert -- but we stuck to it, and it turned out to provide a real sense of epic scale.
There are plenty of vehicles here, and they will spawn on captured bases, so players will not feel stranded if they decide to move to another base. If an enemy chopper happens to stop by for a rocket-filled visit, anti air guns are provided in strategic locations to keep the air battles balanced and the home bases safe.

Warning: Travelling by foot on Heavy Metal can feel a bit daunting.
We hope you enjoy this immense battlefield when VIP Map Pack 7 goes live. Be sure to check back regularly for the very latest information on everything Battlefield. Next Wednesday, we take an in-depth look at Cold War, the third map in VIP Map Pack 7.

Correction: This Monday, we reported the multiplayer modes for all maps in VIP Map Pack 7. For Heavy Metal, the correct modes are Conquest and Squad Deathmatch.
jeeps and ATVs can be damaged by all weaponsNoob Question:
Which types of weapons do damage to what vehicles?
noDo assault rifles do damage to choppers? Or light tanks?
40mm and hand grenades will do damage to any of the tanks, but its like a fly bite to them.(Hand) grenades and (light)tanks?
you need a Carl Gustav or RPG-7 to lock on to a tracer. Do this by scoping in with your rocket launcher and zeroing in on the orange square the trace provides until you see a white numbered distance meter:And how do you aim at a tracer marked tank (or anything else)?
ah, so including new modes = map pack release?
Yes.But finally 4 NEW maps are coming!
Well I just had a first last night. Blew up a quad with a mp443 grach killing two dudes on it in the process. Needless to say it was a 'lol wut' moment!

Oh and the f2000 is pretty awesome now after the update. It use to not be so great but now it rocks in most situations, especially close quarters with 40mm shotgun. Unlike most guns it appears to be most accurate when you hold the trigger down instead of burst fire.
